Need ability to move custom fields in card configuration!

Description - Need the ability to move custom fields added to cards in the Configure --> Cards area. It is already clunky and buggy, but if you have to add a new field towards the top of your custom fields, you have to delete EVERY custom field added, then add the new one, then add EVERY custom filed and update names. Almost makes it not worth using boards if you have to update custom fields on the cards.

 

Why is this feature important to you - When designing boards and the card fields, there is a bunch of feedback given to make adjustments, so every time an adjustment is needed, it takes a large amount of effort to make these additions.

 

How would you like the feature to work - Be able to drag and drop custom fields once they are configured to be on the cards (Board --> Configure --> Cards)

 

Current Behavior - Does not allow for moving or re-sort custom fields once added to the card configuration

Description: Currently we can add custom fields to cards within the Boards functionality but need a way to reorder these fields easily.

 

Why is this feature important to you: We have many use cases for Boards that require custom fields added to cards. For those with many fields, the order can get thrown off or someone might later decide a certain field is needed, but the new field just goes to the bottom unless we remove the other fields and put it first. 

 

How would you like the feature to work: Would love the ability to drag fields to reorder even if it is just the custom fields added that would help a lot 

 

Current Behaviour: No way to rearrange fields on a card from the Boards functionality

@jon_chen @kautuk_sahni am I still going to get credit if this gets implemented? I had added this first back in April of last year but it looks like mine got moved to this one as a comment rather than the later September one getting moved to mine. I just wanted to make sure it would still apply towards my profile as a solution accepted. Thank you!

Hey @brittanylang Thanks for your question. Community Ideas do not have a solution accepted status, only discussions and questions have this attribute. That being said, if this idea is selected in the next review cycle, we will be sure to credit both you and @JJCr2 as the authors.
