Home: Project view sort by due date not alpha by task

In the project view on the home page the tasks are sorted alphabetically. Wouldn't it make more sense to sort the tasks with the one that is due next at the top of the list? I work on many projects and like to focus on one project at a time so sorting by commit date jumbles all the tasks from multiple projects together.

Anyone else work by project like this? If so, please vote!

Funny timing: we just put in a support ticket for this thinking it was just a bug. Did Support/Product tell you that is as designed? (also, don't forget to upvote your own idea. :) )

Yes, they told me it is working as designed - alpha sort by task. Isn't that an odd way to think about working?

I was just about to post this in the discussions, thinking I was missing something. It is definitely not a useful way to sort the tasks. I will forward this on and try to get some traction on sorting by project and then by either completion date or commit date.

We've been having employees start the switch and I've been asked about this 3 times today. Would be nice to have the tasks in completion date order under the project name.

This is frustrating and it would be incredibly helpful to have the project view sort by due date within the project!

Hi - heard back from support on Friday: "As we've been working on this, it's become apparent that it needs more than just a quick patch and we are currently working on re-working the design to make it better in a future release. I'm waiting for more info on timelines of when that will happen but just wanted to keep you updated."

So let's cross our fingers it is for the 19.1 release. :)

not being able to sort by date within a project is driving me nuts. There should be an option for several different secondary sorts

Has anyone heard if this fix will be coming out anytime soon? Anthony mentioned 19.1 release but I think we're past that now and it's still happening.

My users are also struggling with this. We definitely need a secondary sort within the project sort by planned completion date.
