For purposes of coverage, as well as on larger projects and corporate wide initiatives, to have co-(or more) project managers. We would like the ability to add multiple owners, either within the project owner field or as a separate field for additional owners.
This could be structured similarly to assignments, where the first assignee is "primary" but others are recorded and have the same rights to the task.
We have a group that has projects being led by 2 PMs. There is typically a Project Lead and a Project Manager. Allowing for multiple project owners to be listed, would be useful when tracking # of projects by team member. Currently, the project is listed under just one owner. The second "owner" does not have representation.

I can definitely see the direct value of the feature in terms of helping to bring visibility into project ownership. Currently we have many valuable items in our backlog and will be reviewing and researching this one to consider in the context of our roadmap prioritization. At this time we anticipate that the target range for a resolution would be beyond 12 months, so I will be marking this as Not Planned for now. We may follow up with you to get more feedback on different use cases for having multiple owners on a single project to make sure we are solving for the root job you are trying to accomplish.
@anna asatryan @kyrna baker is it possible to get an update on this one? This would be extremely helpful if we can assign multiple people to a project.
Have you all tried to use the sharing/permissions functionality to grant manage access to the second PM and then have them set as sponsor? If you aren't already using that field it would work well as a workaround.

Thank you for the submission! We think this is a good enhancement to the Workfront platform overall and this product area in particular!
Workfront currently prioritizes large-scale, foundational enhancements such as the new Reporting experience and changes to the core data model, so this item does not fit in our near-term roadmap. As such, I am marking this as Declined now, but we'll keep this in our backlog for the improvements for this area so that we can revisit the decision in the future.
