Fusion Machine to Machine Connection

Avatar

Level 5

Per this https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-ideas/allow-machine-to-machine-oauth-app-...  and this https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-questions/having-trouble-using-oauth2-con... it does not really seem like this is something we can achieve at the moment. I just wanted to check was anyone able to establish Server to Server auth between Fusion and Workfront?

Thank you in advance.

You can find the credentials generation instruction here https://developer.adobe.com/workfront-apis/guides/gaining_access/

Yes, this is possible today. Fusion can connect to Workfront using Server-to-Server authentication!

Here is a guide that walks through the setup step by step:

You will need to use Adobe Developer Console credentials when creating the connection. This was introduced with the Workfront V2 connector, so make sure you are using that one.

Hi @DavidGevorgyan ,

I have tried this https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront-fusion/using/references/apps-and-their-modules/...

And it does not mention develop console anywhere is says that creating credentials in Workfront is enough.

Server to Server.png

I tried both Server to Server and Auth and on both I am getting different errors for example as you can see above

I have also received this error

Connection failed.
  • Failed to verify connection ‘15125’. ENOTFOUND: Service is temporarily unavailable.

After additonal playing around I got
https://app-eu.workfrontfusion.com/oauth/cb/workfront-workfront is not allowed

OAuth is normally configured in Workfront but does not work, could you send a working example please?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Ivan

while this thread is resolved I want to point out, that Adobe has logged a defect for establishing MTM connection Fusion to Workfront using oAuth. This is related to the connector upgrade that happened in Oct 2025
