Hi team,
Has anyone exported Workfront report data to Tableau using Fusion? We are currently building out multiple Fusion scenarios that align with different use cases we have and this is one we are considering for our next build. If you have done this, which modules did you use? Did you see high value come from this scenario? Thanks in advance for your help and feedback.
Best,
E

hi Erika,
I don't think there is a native way of doing what you're describing. The easiest way to do this is to use Data Connect feature from Adobe, but this comes at a cost (unless you have ultimate plan).
The other alternative was building a Web Data Connector for Tableau, but I think they deprecated this functionality anyway.
Using Fusion alone to pull data to Tableau and maintain it's accuracy (being up to date) may turn out to be cumbersome.

@Rafal_Bainie Thank you for your feedback around this ask. Our use case is that we are currently sending along reports to a member of our Tableau team on a bi-weekly basis to allow them to illustrate the data and gather calculations that are not possible within Workfront reporting. This specific process is very manual, but we want to make sure if there is an easier or automated way to do this we want to evaluate it. I'm unsure if we have the ultimate plan or not, but I've added that as a line item to confirm.
Best,
E

Hi @Erika_Antkowiak ,
based on your response, the easiest way to improve your manual process is to setup scheduled deliveries for your reports to be delivered to your tableau team automatically on a set cadence.
Cheers

Yes we did this last year. We export out and drop into a OneDrive folder on Sunday evenings and Tableau reads the data to update.
@Erika_Antkowiak Just checking in — were you able to resolve your issue?
