Attaching Documents from Multiple Folders in Email Module

Avatar

Our team uploads documents into multiple project folders. I am looking for way to be able to pull in documents that live in multiple folders in an email. Is it possible to have an email look at multiple folders and attach the documents within them? Thanks!

Hi @Kiersten_K

Without seeing specifics, here a general response:

you can pull all documents of a project; in order to attach them you'll need to actually download the files.

Why is that necessary as opposed to providing e.g. links to the docs, or better to the docs page of the project?

How are you "sending emails" ?

Our project owners currently send emails manually to a group email with employees and not all of them are users of Workfront. We need the ability to attach documents that our owners are uploading into Workfront.

We are trying to automate these emails to be able to get the information from briefs out to our partners faster and remove manual efforts of the owner copying and pasting Workfront data into an email.

Hi @Sven-atClient

I have been working through a scenario to attempt to grab files out of one project folder but am getting stumped somewhere along the way.

In my workflow, I am able to download the files and have been able to send an email with an attachment. However instead of one email with multiple attachments being sent, the scenario will deploy several of the same emails but with a different attachment and it will attach any and all files in a project.

  • Is there a way to be able to point and pull only files within 1 unique folder?
  • Is there a way to attach all files from the folder in one email?

I have been trying to work with iterators and aggregators, but these are new to me. I am learning as I am going to try to make things work.

WIP scenario:
