External lookup fields enable dynamic dropdown population from Workfront APIs or third-party data sources without hard-coding.
Control projects provide manageable alternative to complex if-then logic for maintaining organizational taxonomies like regions and countries.
Advanced validation logic enables error-checking formulas to prevent incorrect submissions based on specified criteria. Examples include prohibiting special characters, limiting character counts, and enforcing future date requirements. Users receive immediate feedback when validation rules are violated, enhancing data quality. Be sure to brush up on your text mode expressions, as you'll need these in your custom forms!
Business rules (Ultimate package only) enforce conditional policies on object creation, editing, and deletion for data governance. Think about things that violate organizational policies or data governance standards and implement rules to enforce those!
Even better...validation rules and external lookups function within inline reporting, maintaining data integrity across dashboards and reports.

I can at least ask the technical writing team! I'm not sure what rules have to be followed when it comes to documentation versus Community content, but it's worth me submitting a request!

Hi Tina and Steve,

I missed the session, but just watched the video (thanks @NicholeVargas for setting it up, and @skyehansen for calling it out), and would like to compliment you both: excellent information, adeptly presented in a practical and inspiring manner.

Would Recommend, for anyone whose not yet seen it, but is interested in improving Workfront data quality and end user experience.
