Howdy folks from your Adobe Workfront Scale Team! 🤠

 

We’re trying something new for our Strategy conversations – a follow-up post for the hot topics during the events, but instead of an email, we thought we'd test out a discussion format where we can provide updates and make it available to everyone, even if you can make an event.

 

We know we can’t get to every question submitted during for the Connect events so at the end of each month, we will post ideas and resources to answer the trending hot topics.

    System Maintenance & Clean-up Ideas 

     

    For this topic, your Sys Admin reports are going to be key to see what objects exist, how they are being used, and how often.  

    If you haven’t yet installed the System Administrator Maintenance Dashboard from Blueprints, these collections of reports are brilliant. For more information on what’s included, check out this Community article.  

     

    Bonus Tip: If you’re just getting started, it’s always a good idea to make a copy of the dashboard/reports to experiment with the data and create more customized versions.

      Here's the latest I just discovered: Adding a Smart Folder in the Document area to find documents by proof owner. This became invaluable when a user who owned many proofs went on maternity leave earlier than expected, leaving over 200 proofs inaccessible until the sys admin (me!) could find everything.

        Agile Functionality

          Governance Resources 

           

          Governance processes can mean so many things to so many organizations, and our recommendation has always been to do what works best for your processes. 

           

          If you are just getting started with Governance, we have two favorite resources from two brilliant Workfront Consultants, Chris Berry and Tyler Holt.  

           

          Sadly, Chris’ video recording of the event is no longer available, but luckily, his slide presentation is! Check out the follow-up post from his Oct 13, 2020 User Group on Establishing Governance in Workfront.

            Group Admin 

             

            This is another big topic and it’s not always easy to find resources on building out the Group Admin function. As a team, we’re working on more resources to share with customers in 2023, but we have a few that might get things started, including a webinar from last year.
