Branded html email template in OOTB form submission Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi,We are using AEM 6.4, and are using plain text emails upon form submission in the OOTB "Send PDF via email" Submit Action. However, we would like to use a branded HTML email template. We have a template ready to go, but have no idea as to best place to put it and how to bring in graphics such as our logo. Also, the default template in libs/fd/dashboard/templates/email is set up as a .txt file with subject and message lines included. Do we need to encode like this for OOTB?Thanks!

Re: Table guide-data-header breaking in phone width Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Opened ticket https://daycare.day.com/content/home/nepinus/nepinus_us/customer_services/196330.html#post0004 with Adobe DayCare. We don't have access to Package Share, but I have tested with default components on a default blank template that automatically uses Canvas theme.

Table guide-data-header breaking in phone width Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi! We have an AEM 6.4.1 form with repeating panels that have a table in them. They look fine when larger than 760px width, but the headers disappear after the first table in smaller than 760 (phone). Issue seems to be that in subsequent tables, the guide-data-header is empty. In the first table of the phone width, the header cells have the following code:The ::before code (that displays the header text) has the CSS of: @media only screen and (max-width: 760px), (max-device-width: 1024px) and (m...

Clear or Destroy data table in 6.4 form Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hello! We are using an Adaptive Form to display search information from a database. If we click a Search button, we run this script: if ((txtFirstName !== null && txtLastName !== null)) {//clear rows first tableItem11.value = null; tableItem13.value = null; tableItem14.value = null; tableItem15.value = null; var operationInfo = { "formDataModelId": "/content/dam/formsanddocuments-fdm/ps_apexmulti", "operationTitle": "getApexMulti", "operationName": "get_15613995797250"};var inputs = { "FIRST_NAME...

Re: Repositioning Help Icon Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
Arun,I think that if we implement this (the current form is a proof of concept), we'd probably update the CSS with responsive because at the smaller breakpoints, distance won't be such an issue. For proving concept and testing I did the CSS changes with jQuery for ease and to not conflict with in-flight work. The icon is relative-positioned, so seems to be working well. Long description is showing fine.Full-width:Multi-column:

Re: Repositioning Help Icon Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
Arun, I've tried both, and I'm having the issues you noted with Ravi's solution, and possible similar ones with the solution you gave. Longer text labels will throw off as well, probably because characters are more than a pixel wide.So if the label text length is 60, and add 60 for spacing, the icon will be 120 px from the left, but the actual text may be 120 px wide depending on letters used. However, I think I may have found an answer! For testing purposes, I just made CSS changes in jQuery, and...

Repositioning Help Icon Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi all!I'm wondering if it is possible to reposition the Help icon from the far right to directly after the text in a question label? My customers are worried that users may not see the help icon when it is so far away and might be a usability issue. I'm trying a combination of CSS and jQuery, but my form does not seem to be responding well to my .each() statements. Is there a more OOTB way of moving this icon without a CSS/jQuery hack? Thanks!

Re: How to show form property Description in meta and on form Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Arun!We are building forms using AEM Forms plugin. In the forms, we can set form properties such as title, description, etc. However the only one that seems to be pulled into meta-tags natively is the name and title. When I tried currentPage.getDescription(), I get a null returned. I'm not looking for the component description, but the page description as listed in the form's properties.

The page you linked to seems to be for getting information on a component, and not the form itself? Can you clarify?

Re: Form tabs lose focus if static text is first Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
I figured it out. If youhave a Tabs on Top or Tabs on Left layout, you can put this code in on the guideRootPanel- Initialize event to force the page to scroll to the top when you clickthose buttons. $('.guidetoolbar').on('click', 'button.moveNext', function(){ $('html,body').animate({scrollTop:0},0);});$('.guidetoolbar').on('click', 'button.movePrev', function(){ $('html,body').animate({scrollTop:0},0);});And this won't conflict with the button action because it's not a direct click event.

Form tabs lose focus if static text is first Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi!We are building large, multi-tabbed panel forms for government use. Our toolbar with "Previous" and "Next" buttons is at the bottom of the page. When we click on the tab or the buttons and go to a new tab-panel, if the first item is a form input, the browser will focus on that first item. However, if the panel starts with text, then there is no focus on the page, and if the user was at the bottom of the form on the previous tab, they will still be there so have to scroll back to the top. We've b...

How to show form property Description in meta and on form Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi all!I am using AEM 6.4, but with static templates (so JSP files).I want to grab the form property "Description" and use for Meta tags for SEO, as well as to show on the form itself. I am trying to put in my template, but cannot seem to get the code right. The form title is pulled in by the following code: <%= currentPage.getTitle() == null ? xssAPI.encodeForHTML(currentPage.getName()) : xssAPI.encodeForHTML(currentPage.getTitle()) %>But I cannot get similar code to work for the Description: r...

Document of Record - Exclude fields if hidden not working. Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi all,I've set up Document of Record with our Adaptive Forms per Adobe Experience Manager Help | Generate Document of Record for adaptive forms, and some functionality does not seem to work. I have hidden fields that will only show if another field is clicked (ex: What color do you like? Red, Blue, Other -> if they choose Other, then a hidden "Other" text box shows). However, I've set the "Exclude fields from DoR if hidden" to true, but all my hidden fields still show on my DoR. Only if I selec...

Re: Font color changes, etc. in Document of Record Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Manyak,No worries. We don't want to update the OOTB, since that seems to impact /libs/. We're just mapping Generated DoR to our own XDP. Thanks!

Font color changes, etc. in Document of Record Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
I'm trying to set up a branded Document of Record for our system, following instructions on Adobe Experience Manager Help | Generate Document of Record for adaptive forms .However, the text is very faint grey and bad for accessibility, and I need to change to a darker color. The XDP template in Designer has no place to change the font color, neither does the OSGi interface. How can I update the colors (effectively, the "CSS") for generated Documents of Record? Thanks!

Adaptive Form with Editable Page Template wrapper Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi!We are trying to switch from static page templates to editable page templates. We are mainly using Adaptive Forms, with Pages for Thank You and Form Portal. With static templates, we were able to have the branded header and footer with navigation and links on the Adaptive Form template as well as the Page templates. I'm trying to reproduce, but my Adaptive Form template isn't using the surrounding page template - it appears to be a "page" all of it's own. We'd like to use the same page templa...

Re: 6.4 no longer allows custom themes? Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Excellent! I'll read through and double-check things. I am noticing that it says "only if you have upgraded from a version that does not have Theme Editor" - since 6.4 requires a Theme, it might be good to add information from How to programmatically force a theme in 6.4I had to create a new theme and strip out all the CSS in that theme, but am still encountering issues like the latest ones above, as I'm overwriting common.css, entered by having a theme. Perhaps the engineers could include a "N...

Re: 6.4 no longer allows custom themes? Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Also, I'm finding that the div#guideContainerTheme links to /etc.clientlibs/fd/afaddon/clientlibs/adobesign/common.css and /etc.clientlibs/fd/af/runtime/clientlibs/guidetheme2/common.css are causing radio buttons and checkboxes to disappear. I am trying to recover in my custom theme code, but because the div#guideContainerTheme is at the end of the page it is difficult to over-write some sections. I can get to re-appear if I add.guideCheckBoxItem .guideFieldWidget input[type="checkbox"], .guideR...

Re: 6.4 no longer allows custom themes? Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Also, I found another potential bug. All of our help icons disappeared, and it looks like the bootstrap glyphicon location may have changed? In my CSS Less code, I had to manually update bootstrap references: @font-face { font-family: 'Glyphicons Halflings'; src:url('../fd/af/third-party/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.eot');to @font-face { font-family: 'Glyphicons Halflings'; src:url('/libs/fd/af/runtime/clientlibs/third-party/resources/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.eot');

How to programmatically force a theme in 6.4 Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
I have created a custom theme, and in 6.4 you can choose a theme at form creation (rather than waiting until editing the form). However, is there a way to programmatically force a theme so that the new theme is the default, rather than Canvas? Thanks!

Re: 6.4 no longer allows custom themes? Christopher_Pa4 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
One thing to watch for that I found, is that any images or imports need to have the reference links changed as well, as the library structure appears to have changed. @import "../../../../clientlibs/fd/af/guidetheme/common/less/globalvariables.less"; ended up changing to @import "/libs/fd/af/runtime/clientlibs/guidetheme/common/less/globalvariables.less";

Thanks! Would it be possible to be notified when published? In the meantime I'm experimenting. I can get my webpage templates to work, but still having issues with the form templates, even after moving to /app/ file. I'm going through and checking for broken links, etc.
