Re: Task attachments in Task Manager endpoint - Adobe LiveCycle 26-04-2011
Yes Nith, you are correct - we want the initiator to see the attachments, and because of that, this would probably need to be done either in the prepare data or the render process. Since it's a Flex based form, PDF attachments are not an alternative, either. If I try to invoke a component based function which adds the attachments inside the prepare data process I'm not getting any error. Still, they are not visible in the workspace. However, if the initiator manually adds an attachment himself, t...

PDF/A issue - Adobe LiveCycle 24-02-2011
Hi everybody,we're having a problem with a customer scenario that we can't seem to sort out: We are implementing a complex user-centric workflow (products: Forms, Reader Extensions, Output, Process Management). For reporting purposes, the customer needs a flat PDF copy of every PDF form that any user submits during the workflow. The logical idea seems to be to convert every submitted PDF to PDF/A, which would be nice for archiving purposes as well. However, it seems like that some state informati...

Re: Click event in a form guide - Adobe LiveCycle 30-12-2010
Hi Steve,1st of all, thank you for your reply. In my scenario, I'd like to populate a grid with user names, id's and some additional information. When a user clicks on an entry (or row), I'd like to use data from the respective record (let's say the user's id) for subsequent operations, like calling a web service requiring a user id as the input parameter.I seem to be able to populate a list (by calling an LC component returning an ArrayList of objects, even not knowing if this is the correct app...

Re: Issues with WebService component - Adobe LiveCycle 07-09-2010
This is really pity as noone from Adobe is able to answer this.By the way just for the information for others who may face this issue, we have resolved this. The problem was if you start Jboss from command prompt which has already exported the DISPLAY variable, then these exception will occur with every request. It seems ALC is using this DISPLAY variable internally.

Hyperlinks in footnote - Adobe LiveCycle 30-03-2010
Hello everybody, after using PDFG and implementing it for customers for quite some time, I have just noticed that PDFG doesn't seem to be able to convert hyperlinks in a Word document when those links are placed in a footnote. If I try to do the same thing manually using the Word/Acrobat pair on the PDFG server, everything works as expected. Is this a known issue or a limitation of the product? If not, is there any setting that I'm not aware of?Any hint would be greatly appreciated!Steffen.

Re: PDF plugin problem - Adobe LiveCycle 14-07-2010
Hi John,as it turned out, there is a setting in IE where you can enable/disable ActiveX plugins. I do NOT refer to the overall ActiveX settings, but the "Manage AddOns" option in the settings dialog. There, each specific addon can be disabled/enabled separately. With some versions of Reader 9 there seemed to be a problem that (for unknown reasons) the Reader plugin was in a disabled state. Maybe you can check that?Regards,Steffen.
