hello,I have two master pages in my form. The first one is being used but not the second one. In the second one, I have a text object. Using javascript at design time Im able to get the som expression to that text object, so it really exists in my form. However, at run time I get a null value when getting the object. I believe this is due to the fact that the second master page was not instantiated, because I didnt associate it with any form.so my question is: is it possible to access objects in...

Hello,Does anyone knows the relationship between a livecycle running process and the threads it creates. For instance, imagine a workflow process with 2 subprocess inside. Will they all be running in the same thread using the same stack? and if two instances of the same process are running?thank you

Did anyone found a solution to this problem? To disable and enable validation doent seems to be the best approach. If one clicks on a Print button for instance, the user will get the error. So, the problem is this: with a date filed with a validation pattern, any value we set dynamically (using javascript code) will throws a validation error.thank you

Steve,I looked at that folder and it seems it only defines the list of countries to be used by each language. I didn´t see anything about, for instance, the currency symbol to use. The strange thing is that I changed the character symbol in the regional options in windows, and it didn´t changed nothing in my form, so it seems this information cames from elsewhere...Thank you

Hello,I have a pdf form with some monetary fields. Each field shows the localized currency symbol. Is it possible to change the currency symbol dynamically (example from the euro symbol to the dolar symbol)?I ask this because I would like to use the same form with different currency symbols. For instance, is it possible to dynamically change the localization of the form?thank you

Hi,The problem is that the PDF is not being compressed. If I open it with notepad I can see all the text clearly. Also, fonts are being embbeded. The only properties I know that can change something about the size of the pdf are:- PDF version: I cant get this working using a specific version. Only auto make it work;- xci uri: blank (using the default). Is it possible to make a xci file that instructs Livecycle to not embed any font?Thank you

hi,In a workbench process Im generating a xdp file that I convert to a PDF file using the renderPDFForm component. This is working, however, the generated PDF document is not being compressed. In the renderPDFForm properties I can´t find any property to compress the pdf file.My guess is that the component is generating the pdf with fonts included...What can I control this?thank you

Hello,In workbench, I created a new process and then deleted. Now I need to create a new process with the same name as the previous I deleted, however, I get a message saying that the process already exists. This can´t be because I dont see the process in the processes view anymore. Also, if I make a "manage categories" I can see the deleted process there, however, Im not able to delete it.Can this be something not deleted in a database?thank you

Hi,While creating a process workflow in LCES 8.1 I´m using the web service component. Can someone tell me how this service works in terms of proxy? Does it creates a proxy in design time (after making the load of the wsdl file) or will it try to get the wsdl file everytime the service process is invoked?I ask this because wilhe batch testing my service, sometimes I get the error that the wsdl file used by the service component is not well formed... but other times it works fine.Thank you.

Hello,Im using an xpath expression to find a node in a xml variable. In this xpath I need to equal the text part of the resolved node to the value returned from the xpath from another xml variable. The value returned from the second xpath needs to be between single quotes in the first xpath, but it is not working. I already tried this:/path_to_xml1/root_node/node[text = '/path_to_xml2/root_node/node']string(/path_to_xml1/root_node/node[text = '/path_to_xml2/root_node/node'])string(/path_to_xml1/...

Jasmin,I couldnt make it work in any way. Just one more thing,Is it possible to include this code in a execute script object? My concern is about the necessity to include client JAR files in the project. I believe that if I use a execute script, I will not need such thing right?Thank you

Jasmin,You said: "You should have a generic SYSTEM EXCEPTION that should catch the ones that are not specifically exposed." Should system exception get all the exceptions, even those specifically exposed? Im almost sure that some exceptions not exposed are not got by system exception.Where can I read about that Exception event?Thank you

Hi,I would like to ear from you about best practices to handle exceptions in workbench processes. As far as I understand, one can handle exceptions only in some services. Also, each kind of exception must be handled, one by one (ex.: one route from the service that throws the exception by each exception). This procedure as a lot of limitations: first, the services that expose/throws exceptions only throws some kind of exceptions. So, it is possible to make a route from all the exposed exceptions,...

Paul,I will not use Acrobat, just reader and workbench. Plus, I would want to turn this step automatic, and not to have someone exporting the file by hand. What I was hopping was that there would be a component in workbench that would output something like Acrobat/Designer does...thank you

Paul,I appreciate you help, but that was not what I was trying to accomplish 😞What I want is to get the hierarchy of all the fields inside a PDF. If you generate a random data file using the preview tab in livecycle designer, you will get what I need.
