Can you assist with understanding why the unique visitors don't add up to the total but instances do?

I am using a date range of 6/14-6/29 (today). They do line up if I use the 'instances' metric but I am, and want to be, using the 'unique visitors' metric. Do you know why they do not add up with unique visitors?

My report has a total that is greater than the sum of the line items. The reasons for this in the article you referenced are not applicable to my report. It does not make sense to me why the total number of unique visitors would be greater since they should be falling into the bookmarked/typed category as a catch all. I have uploaded the report here. Can you please take a look and let me know what you think may be the issue.

I am using the Adobe Analytics product and am referring to the CSV export that comes out of Data Warehouse. I have attached a sample. Many of the fields are custom to our site and have long values.Specifically, the 'Search Terms' field (custom) has values that exceed the length of 250 characters. There may be others like this. Is there a field length maximum?

Can you provide me with the source IP address where the exports come from so we can look the request up on our side? Thanks,Esther

Hi Tanmay,Unfortunately, this article was not helpful. We have not reached the storage limit on the FTP site. I have created several requests and they have all failed, but I do not have any insight as to why. I would like to understand why it failed so I can correct it. Esther

Hi Tanmay,I am using FTP. Is the 2 GB limit on the Adobe side or the FTP side? As an example, the last time it failed the issue was because Adobe renames the file after it is initially posted and the FTP we were sending to did not allow that. However, the error message did not indicate this at all. Is there a way to get details about what happened when there is a failure?Esther

Yes, this explains the difference between Breakdown and Metric but it does not help with the other clarification I was looking for. When does it mean when the same metric has the text 'Instance Of' or 'Instance Of (Participation)' next to it?
