Happy Thanksgiving! I shouldn't be working but this issue is driving me nuts and I'd love to figure this out.I have a use java class that has a method called getPage. The code is below. The idea is to get all the child page underneath the page where this component lives. public List getPage() { List results = new ArrayList(); Iterator children = getCurrentPage().listChildren(); while (children.hasNext()) { Page child = children.next(); results.add(child); } return results; }I call it in my compo...

I can't verify in ClassicUi since the component wasn't made for it. I'll have to add some classic ui only code to render to try. In the meantime, should I file this as a bug with Daycare?

Not sure if these is even possible, but I want to include a component on a template so its on every page by default. But I also want to give content authors the ability to overwrite the content using the dialog box. Is this possible?Currently,I'm using this code on my base page templateWhile it embeds the component on every page, the component isn't author-able. Any ideas?

I was able to solve with help from Rackspace CAS. Apparently the jcr:primarytype of the folder needs to be sling:OrderedFolder and not sling:Folder

I can't figure why this Null Pointer Exception is getting thrown when a user try to access a folder in the dam. I am logged in as admin and this folder was working yesterday. This is only occuring on our QA server. The dev server has the exact same code package and the folders work. QA is open to regular content authors, so I'm wondering if a user screwed something up. Hello Working on a dialog box and I have a select box with two options. How can I clear the previous data when a user comes back into the dialog and selects the other option? I think this may requires some clientside js, but I want double check.

Hi all,I'm having trouble understanding when you need add clientlib js file to save content from the dialog box? When is this necessary? Is it the same for TouchUI (Granite/Coral) and ClassicUI (extJS)

I'm having a lot of trouble following the documentation on this. So my component only has a dialog box for TouchUI. What do I need to do in order to enable RTE on the text area (granite/ui/components/foundation/form/textfield)?

Hi I'm working on a component based off this example (https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/first_htl_WCMUsePojo.html)I installed the sample package to my AEM 6.2 instance (nosamplecontent runmode), and opening the dialog of the component gives me a Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceededin the console, and the dialog box doesn't respond when I try to add a multi field.However it works when I install it to a fresh 6.2 instance with sample content. Any ideas why?

bsloki wrote... Hi NBertie You need the nested-multifield.js. That is the js where all the functionality of the multifield is written. @squid267 - Make sure you dont have this js anywhere else already ! Hmm I installed it via the package just to try. I spun up a AEM 6.2 instance with samplecontent and installed the package. The dialog works now. What is different between nosamplecontent and samplecontent run modes that breaks the dialog? Maybe permissions?

So I figured it out. I used we-retail's page component as a base.So page.html references headlibs.html which references author.htmlauthor.html (function() { var cfg = ${wcmInit.undoConfig @ context='unsafe'}; cfg.pagePath = "${currentPage.path @ context='uri'}"; if (CQClientLibraryManager.channelCB() != "touch") { cfg.enabled = ${wcmInit.wcmmode.edit @ context="scriptString"}; CQ.undo.UndoManager.initialize(cfg); CQ.Ext.onReady(function() { CQ.undo.UndoManager.detectCachedPage((new Date()).getTime()); }); } })(); CQ.WCM.launchSidekick("${currentPage.path @ context='uri'}", { propsDialog: "${wcmInit.dialogPath @ context='uri'}", locked: ${currentPage.locked @ context="scriptString"} }); What's really important is here That must load in some script for intlaizing the sidekick in classic, and firing up other parts of the author environment.

This one has me scratching my head. I created a component and dragged on to a page I created with a basic template. It doesn't refresh the page even though I've set aftercreate,afterdelete,afteredit,afterinsert and aftermove to REFRESH_PAGE. Here is my _cq_editConfig.xml file. Then I tried dragging a we retail component that I know refreshes the page (in the we retail project) and it still didn't work. This leads me to think there is something wrong with my template or the page component it i...

HiI know business logic in JSPs is bad, but I need to come up with a solution quickly with how the codebase was setup. Anyways, I wanted to execute code only on a certain template so I'm using currentPage.getTemplate().getTitle().equals("SomeTemplate") I could provide code context but I think its more of permissions issue than a code issue. It only works when I log in, and if I'm not logged in it breaks. What permission do I need to edit to fix this.

We give all our news items/pages a date field through the Page Properties dialog. This xtype is datefield. So I can configure it to be MM-DD-YYYY or DD-MM-YYYY, etc. My question is how can I use the JCR SQL query language to order my query by this date field. I'm using ORDER BY datePosted DESCCurrently the date is stored as MM-DD-YYYY. It reads only the month value and orders it by that. How cna I make it read the whole date value?

Is there any way to retrieve a page's number in AEM? See screenshot for example. I hope use this built numbering system as way for authors to manually order content.

Hi all,I'm working on a popup component that lets lets the AEM Author input a integer to determine how long the popup should be active before it fades out. I'm able to return the integer in HTML using Duration: ${comp.timeout} secondsBut as soon as I call it Javascriptwindow.setTimeout(closePopup, ${comp.timeout});It doesn't return the number. What's the correct way to do this?
