Have created a dynamic form comprising 4 subforms, one of which can have up to 50 instances. Each of the subforms requires user input into various text fields and dropdown lists. The subform that can have up to 50 instances has 14 text fields/dropdown lists. My problem is that if I receive say 15 completed forms with differing numbers of completed instances how can I extract the data into say an Access database table or tables? The spreadsheet option in Acrobat Pro XI creates rows of varying fie...

Working on a form which I want to access protect various subforms with a password that the user creates. The script works ok apart from the AM11H.sfContent.sfRows subform, where it only protects the first instance. All other instances are unprotected. var pword = AM11H.sfContent.sfPassCode.txtConCode.rawValueif (AM11H.sfContent.sfPassCode.txtConCode.rawValue == pword) { AM11H.sfContent.sfProperty.access = "protected"; AM11H.sfContent.sfNoAccess.access = "protected"; AM11H.sfContent.sfRowHead.acc...

I have a Form with two fields that I do not want the user to complete. The first field txtCIC is at the top of the Form and only occurs once. The second field txtPICode is within a row instance that the user creates as required. I have another field identified for the person handling the Form to access the two protected fields through entering a code. After updating the two fields the code is removed to protect the fields again.I inserted the script in the layout:ready event. if (this.rawValue =...

Thank you. Can you please help me as my knowledge of JavaScript is shallow. The script I was playing with that was not working was along the lines of:if (txt1.rawValue <= 84 && txt1.rawValue >= 71) {txt2.fillColor = "255,255,0";}else if (txt2.rawValue <= 84 && txt1.rawValue >= 71) { txt2.fillColor = "255,0,0";}else if (txt1.rawValue <= 70 && txt1.rawValue >= 85) {txt2.fillColor = "255,255,255";}My question relates to fillcolor. Is it better not to try and fillcolor textfields? I had tried a swit...

Have a form with 2 text fields, txt1 and txt2. The user has to enter a code between 01 and 99 into txt1. If the entered code in txt1 is between 71 and 84, txt2 must be completed by entering a code between 01 and 73 or 85 to 99.Wanted, that when the code was entered into txt1, if it was 71 to 84 that txt2 fill colour would change to yellow, highlighting that a code entry is required. When the user entered the code the fill colour would disappear. Also, if they wrongly entered a value in to txt2 o...

Like yourself, I am a newcomer to using LiveCycle and JavaScript (in fact any scripting). I opted for radio buttons in the Form I am designing as it will replace a low use tick box paper Form. Some of those completing it are likley to opt for printing a blank form and completing it by hand.Someone more knowledgable will hopefully answer you. If I was trying it, I would try mouseUp event or layout:ready in the dropdown's Events and Scripts. One of the issues I was trying to address, is the user c...

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, the script did not hide the text field after I clicked another button in the group. I ended up placing your script in the click event, changing the this.rawValue to "other" (as illustrated below) as I had changed the button value from 8 to other. In the other buttons click event, I placed the lower script and that hid the text field. if (this.rawValue == "other") { AR05.sfBody.sfRows.txtOther.presence = "visible"; }else {AR05.sfBody.sfRows.txtOther.presence =...

I have a set of 8 radio buttons. The eighth button, if selected, displays a hidden text field. The javaScript on the eighth button, on the mouseUp event, for this is: if(this.rawValue) AR05.sfBody.sfRows.txtOther.presence = "visible";else AR05.sfBody.sfRows.txtOther.presence = "hidden";My problem is that on clicking the eighth the text field becomes visible. However, if I click on another radio button the text field is not hidden. Can anybody help me please.l

Thanks, unfortunately the web link took me a youtube in German. However, I found others in English on this subject. My problem is that Acrobat Pro's Merge data into a spreadsheet option, exports the data into an Excel spread sheet that it opens. Can I set preferences in Excel so that when Acrobat Pro opens it will display the correct export values? Or do you mean that after Acrobat Pro has created the spreadsheet with the lost values, that I apply the custom formats on a row by row basis using 0...

I am new to using Livecycle and see the advantages of using dynamic forms for collecting data. I have designed several dynamic forms which include rows with 6 to 9 text fields and may be completed with 10 to 100 rows. I have had to use text fields for collecting numeric information as many of the references start with zeros (003456). Whilst Acrobat Pro provides for Livecycle dynamic forms to be enabled for Acrobat Reader filling and saving is extracting to Excel the best option available if you ...

Thanks again. I have very little experience with scripting or programming, so your comments are very helpful in giving me a focus on the subject. I have designed Forms for years in InDesign and saved as PDFs for writing up. See the advantages that Livecycle offers but am struggling with scripting.

Are you aware of any sources where I can view the javascript code for such a loop? Got some books on Javascript but they all relate to web scripting - have not seen any that relate to LiveCycle/Acrobat.

I have a LiveCycle Form with a repeating subform where the first field (text field 2 characters) requires the input of a code between 01 and 99. Can you script so that you cannot enter the same code value more than once?

Is there much involved in scripting to pickup the value of textField1 to populate a repeatable textFeld2?

Thank you, but I still have one problem. I enter the value in textField1 and when I exit the field the same value now diplays in textField2. TextField2 is in a repeatable subForm and whilst the value diplays in every created instance, when I merge data into a spreadsheet only the first instance appears in the caputed data. Do I need to do something else?

Thank you. Just started working with Livecycle and done nothing beyond trying to set form layouts. Used the Binding tab and selected global variable and it worked. I assume global variable just applies to the current Form? Tried to use: this.rawValue = textField1.rawValue in the script editor with the change event but it did not work. Would prefer to use this script, what did I do wrong?

Created a Form in Livecycle. The user inputs a six digit reference into a text field which is required for input in other text fileds in the Form. What is the Javascript that could do this?
