Hi, my form structure is:I have a table (MonitorProductList) that has repeatable rows. Each row has Product Name in Column A, Description in Column B and Price in Column C. I want to be able to take all of items in Column A and populate a dropdown on another repeatable subform on Page 2. The selection from this dropdown would then populate a Description and Price fields on Page 2 depending on row selection from the table. Can this be done with the code below? I tried it but the dropdown just sho...

I found a workaround. My problem occurred when I added another instance of the table section. The code for add/remove instances would work on the first section but not on subsequent instances. I decided to split the table..convert my header row to a standalone textfield and the repeatable row into a one row table. Then I wrapped the table and textfield in a subform to create my table 'section.' All codes for removing/adding instances work as they should now.

Thanks so much, but it's not working still. That's the problem that I am having..the code is ok and it works for the first instance of the table section. But if I add more instances of the table sections the buttons don't work at all. I suspect it has something to do with the form construction or another setting and not so much with the script

Remove instance of row in section

I have tried everything that I can think of to get the Remove Instance button to work to remove the CURRENT instance but I can't figure it out. Basically I have a table with a section. Within this section I have one row that the user can add more instances of. I added a remove instance button but it acts erratically and I can't get it to remove the CURRENT instance. Sometimes it deletes the first instance..sometimes the last instance in the repeating section...it's all over the place and I can't...

Hmm, it worked for me if I download it. Anyway, here is the code I am using:for (var i=0; i < form1.page1.pricelist.ItemTable.BodySection.Subheader.addremove.instanceManager.count -1; i++) { xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.pricelist.ItemTable.BodySection.SubHeader.addremove[" + i + "]").presence = "hidden" }pricelist is a subform, Tables start at ItemTable. addremove is the name of the subform where two buttons are located in a table cell or row Subheader. It actually does not remove any instances s...

It is a user issue. This usually happens when someone uses a program other than Adobe Reader or Acrobat to fill in the form, such as Mac Preview. You can simply put a text box on the form prompting the user to download and fill in using Adobe Reader with a link to the website OR if you do recieve a form this way you can "re show" the fields by following these steps. (Assuming you have at least Adobe Acrobat Standard):Open form with hidden data.Go to Forms>Manage Form Data>Export DataSave the fil...

Hide Subform Instance in Dynamic Table

I have two dynamic forms with dynamic tables. I wanted to create a sort of customizable price/order form so essentially the author could edit prices and add items. To do this I will be adding a hidden "edit" button that makes all fields (items and prices) open. Another button, "save", would save the form, make these fields read only again AND hide all the buttons, including the ones in each repeatable row--theadd instance and remove instance buttons. My problem is I can only get the first instan...

Ok, well my reference to the fields were incorrect. Here is the new code:if (Page7.NameofReferralSource.rawValue == null){xfa.host.messageBox("You must enter the the Name of your Referral on the bottom of Page 7 to be able to print this form");}else{Print_Form.execEvent("click");}xfa.host.print(1, "0", (xfa.host.numPages -1).toString(), 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);The first part that checks for an empty field and displays a message works however the print dialog still pops up after the user clicks ok to the ...

I have been trying unsuccessfully to get this code to work.. I am stumped! I created a print button. Then added this script under "Form Calc" in the Click event of the button. But when clicked nothing happens. I have a radio button group that has different options but I only want to make the field NameofReferralSource required if the user checks Broker. The print button is on page 1. The field and radio button group are on page 7. I just can't figure out how to get this to work. I don't necessar...

That did it!Any i dea why the down arrow in the dropdowns would be showing when printed? When i preview the form before printing it looks fine but when actaully printed the arrow appears. Not sre if the "on screen" only setting would eliminate the text from showing at all in the drop down when printing. I thought maybe it is related to the fact that you can ENTER info as well as selecting from dropdown options.

With the help of the forums I created the attached PDF form. The file works just like I need it to, except when it is saved and re opened. The image fields move and do not realign until the "+" button is pressed again. I know there are limitations to dynamic forms and formatting but there has to be a solution.Any ideas? The form is at the following link.http://peartreecompany.com/sample1.pdf

Populate one form field with another PDF

Say I have two PDF forms. Some of the data on these forms would be identical for example name, address..etc.. Is there a way to populate fields based on another PDF's fields? I know it is possible with pages WITHIN one pdf document but not sure if it works from PDF to PDF. I can't use a database, excel. Thinking maybe have a button on one form that creates an FDF file and automatically opens/fills in the other PDF??thanks

Thanks Paul, I did set the flow to Western Text. Actually when I changed the initial count to 3 to test where they would show up the repeated image fields showed up below. I changed the underlying subform to flow as well but still nothing..maybe it’s the code I'm using from the auto buttons in Adobe?Brenda __By default subforms are set to flow top to bottom. You can change it to flow Western Text (left to right). That setting is on the subform objects Subform tab and it is called flow direction ...

I created a flyer and wanted the ability to enter pictures on the fly. Well, I used an image field to do this however users need to be able to insert up to 4 images.I know the way to do this is a repeating subform so I put the image field in one and set the options to "Repeating..etc. ; 4 max ; 1 count". I added a subform control that is built in with livecycle to add/delete fields. Well, after testing..it does not work..Nothing happens when I click + or -. Additionally I need to be able to have...
