Okay. That is strange. Probably best to open a ticket so Customer Care can dig into your specific login company etc.

The number of allowed variables (eVars) is based on contract. Product updated should not have an affect, but any change to contract would play a role. You can check your current access level within the Admin Console > View Feature Access Level. Then work with your account team to make any needed changes.

Re: Why does the pre-created single page visits metric have fewer visits than a metric I create where Count(distinct page) = 1?

If you are using count distinct Page Views, I don't expect this to exclude non-page view hits (custom links). So, I assume the segment is higher as it is including visits that had 1 page view and then 1 or more custom links. The default segment is visits that only have one hit (Page view and/or Custom link).

This is a bit of a broad question. But, with ITP, a very important one. Historically Adobe has used a fall back ID in situations of browsers blocking 3rd party cookies. Fallback ID Methods; the end of this article will link you to additional unique visitor tracking topics. If your question is focused on the the topic of ITP try reviewing the very latest here: ECID library methods in a Safari ITP world.

Assuming you have a rather static list for your search criteria, if you run into any performance issues (which can happen on segments with many or complex contains statements) the other solution is to use classifications. You can set all desired search criteria to the same classification value. Then do an equals segment criteria based off of the classification. I realize this is more work, but if performance becomes an issue use a contains any of criteria, it is the way to go.

Default Reports & Analytics, unfortunately, does not allow you to add segments to the Next Page Flow report. However segments are supported in the Flow reports in Analysis Workspace. In workspace, pull in a Flow Visualization, add the desired dimensions and pull in the desired segment.

Pages report, which is based off of the PageName variable is a good start. I often look at a Visits or Page Views report as well. You can pull both Visit and Page Views in the same time, if you look at the Key Metrics report.Your Visitor Profile reports (Geo, Technology, etc) and Traffic sources reports (assuming you have outside traffic do your dev site and your internal URLs are set up correctly) are all "Out of the Box"reports.

Starting with visit_start_pagename should be the right place to start. I believe you'll need to take into account, exclude_hit, page_event, and possible another column or two. I am not sure I remember ever doing this specific comparison; I think I would have to have an example of a days worth of data for a report suite and run some test to see exactly what is needed to get the query to pull Entires from raw data.

Thank you. I now see the workflow that does not allow you to remove all sharing settings. We'll have Product Management review. In the mean time, the workflow of using Manage Projects works to remove all shared users.

That workflow sounds frustrating. Well you walk me through it? Maybe with some screen shots.I tried un-sharing a workspace project that was shared with one user. On the mange project page, I checked the box next to the project I wanted to work on. I then clicked 'Share'. I unchecked all the users and clicked save. The 'Shared With' column on the project manager page was then blank. What workflow are you following?

Thank you for the detailed screen shots. As I ran additional tests, it looks like we should have you open a ticket with support for this. I agree this does not seem to be working correctly, and will need further review.

Were you able to create the VRS with the metric named "Marketing Channel Instances". That is the name of the Last Touch Channel Instance metric within Workspace as well. Did you set up any curation on the VRS? If not, I would think/expect you should see this metric in Workspace.

I am not sure I fully understand your question. However, it is not uncommon for a user ID (that has been de-personalized) to be used to identify users after a login (or other way to identify a specific user). If you provide such an ID in your implementation, you could do the kind of analysis suggested here. Things to be aware of: Hash Collisions - Logs of unique values with low traffic raises the risk of hash collisions. Data Warehouse does not have this issue so, it can be used as a work around...

Unfortunately, we did have an issue last week that resulting in significant performance issues in our Pacific NorthWest data center. Our development teams quickly mobilized and created a plan which included a number of changes. Most changes have been made and performance should be back to normal levels. If issues persist, please open a Customer Care ticket.

Re: Referrer Type notes not equal Total Unique Visitors/Visits

The reporting UIs do not include the line item "Inside your Site". So the report is not taking into account visits that start with an internal referrer (session refresh). Data Warehouse will show this additional referrer type. Feel free to run a Data Warehouse and compare. I suspect that the different in totals (Sum of UV being more that total and sum of Visits being less) is due to de-duplication. A Data Warehouse remind may confirm this as well.

What this really means is, "if there is a Last Touch Channel value persisting, do NOT over write it." Also, Last Touch Channel values can expire. So if the a user waited for their persisting, Last Touch Channel to expire before retuning to the site, when they came back from Direct (internal - which should really only happen if they had the tab over for the whole time, but never refreshed it) there would be no Last Touch Channel persisting, and thus the last instance of Direct/Internal would be c...

Is there a metric called visits-all visitors (or something like that) that you can use in the API? I know the front end has a visits and visits-all visitors metric. You'll want to use visits-all visitors in order to match the UI.

Marketing Channel first touch is a life time variable. It will hold the first value ever seen for the user. Often times people will put the same value into different evars with different expirations on them (IE, visit, one week, 30 days are the most common). This way the can run reports on the different evars and get different attribution. With the release of Attribution IQ last week, you can put the evar to your most common expiration and then user this new feature to generate reports based on t...

The best way to do this would be to populate a tracking code or variable of some sort when the referrer is your blog. You might consider creating a processing rule to do this (if you don't want to wait for a development cycle to release a code change).Otherwise you could try something like the following (which will ONLY work if your blog has a unique ref-domain, that is NOT part of your internal URL filters):
