Thanks - this works great - I see the correct values in Debugger and in Reporting. In fact, I don't even need to create Data Elements - I can just put your code in the Rule.Checking out the Cheat Sheet as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!

I am building Launch Data Elements and a rule to capture modal-window opens on one of my sites.I have a event to register the click that opens the modal, and in the Adobe Experience Cloud debugger I see the event, the link_o Link Type, and correct data in the Link Name and Link URL fields.I'd also like to put the Name and URL into eVars.I created the eVars in the Report Suite admin, and Data Elements in Launch. For Link URL, for instance, I have this custom code in the data element:return(s.link...

WORKAROUND:I've realized that I can use the stock Workspace 'First Time Visitors' and 'Return Visitors' Segments, and the 'Days Since Last Visit' Dimension to get the data I need, so I've got that. Any advice on the plugins would still be appreciated!

Thanks for this - I did also add 'Initialize APL (Append to List)' to my Rule, and added s.prop17=s.getNewRepeat(); s.prop22=s.getTimeSinceLastVisit(); s.linkTrackVars = s.apl(s.linkTrackVars, "prop22") to my Adobe Analytics Plugin custom code. However, I still only get "New visitors" in my prop22 reporting (though New/Repeat seems to continue to work fine)

I'm looking to use two of the 'Common Analytics plugins' in a Launch setup. I'm getting good data on one, but not sure about the other and just want to confirm the proper setup. I've installed the 'Common Analytics Plugins ExtensionCreated a Rule, and initialized getNewRepeat and getTimeSinceLastVisit (see image below)In the Adobe Analytics Extension, 'Make tracker globally accessible' is checkedIn the 'Configure Tracker Using Custom Code', I've added:s.prop17=s.getNewRepeat(); s.prop22=s.getTim...

We are in the process of upgrading our sites from using s_code to Launch. Just verifying that the Report Suite settings such as processing rules, marketing channel setup, and classification hierarchies will continue to work as they currently do. They should still be invoked no matter whether I'm sending an s_hit or a Launch beacon - assuming, of course, that I'm sending matching data in for items like Page and s.Campaign.That's right, right? Any suggestions as to what else to look out for?

I'm setting up a launch property, and haven't created any data elements for Browser technologies (type, java/javascript versions, browser window size). But I see that data in the Cloud Debugger, and seem to be getting that data in my test reporting. That's great! Is there a reference to what data is always included separate from that specified by the created data elements?

Our company is launching an html5 based app that we'd like to track in our Adobe account. Can I use our existing H.25.2 code, and just code in a specific report suite id? How would you recommend I proceed, with minimal upheaval to our existing multi-site, multi-suite setup? Thanks

My pages report for this site:http://www.businesscomputeforum.com/is only showing "other" , instead of the urls that are actually being called up.In the debugger it looks like the 'Current URL' field is being correctly recognized. What could cause that to not be recorded in analytics?thanks

Hi Brian,Thanks for the reply. Most of our variables are set on the page level with H.26.2 code and some custom javascript, but I"m afraid I don't have all the implementation details.Let me ask a more general question - what's an instance? I don't think we track that at all.

We have an strange result on one article in our Analytics Instance (crn.com). This articlehttp://crn.com/news/applications-os/300074085/microsoft-lays-off-2-100-more-employees-plans-to-shut-silicon-valley-research-lab.htm Displays as about 1,500 page views in our headline, author, and other reports that typically track, but over 85,000 Instances. We never see a difference of more than one or two percent between page views and instances, except in this case. What could cause such a result? Is it ...

Hi Brian,Thanks for the information. The odd thing on my side is that I can't see where server is set on http://www.crn.com (my 'working' site) other than in the url, which is working properly on both crn and http://www.itbestofbreed.com/ (my 'non-working' site). The debugger appears to give me similar info in both cases. Are all transmitted fields show in the debugger?thanks

In one of the report suites I've inherited, I see all the subdomains of one of my websites in the 'Servers' report: www.site.com - x page viewsforums.site.com - y page viewsresearch.site.com - z page viewsHowever, in a different report suite for a different site, which also uses subdomains, I get no reporting, just the dreadedNo data match these criteria. Please verify the segment, metrics, date range and filters. I've looked for info in the documentation about subdomains but haven't found out h...

Thanks for the links. There must be something off with my report suite or internal filters. The site did change urls a while back, but the new url and the old url were both included in the internal filters. I may need to just rebuild the report suite from scratch.

Agreed - it's unusable as is - can't find anything unless you know exactly what submenu it's in. Please switch back or make that an option.

I do have admin access, but can't find where specific querystring values for the pages report are set or stored. Is this a processing rule in a report suite? I'm not seeing it.Thank you for your help.

You're correct, we use default tracking - all urls in our pages report (we track Headlines separately)And in fact, I'd prefer not to be tracking this querystring in our pages report - I'd rather it report as a single page. I'm not sure how to turn that off, though. Thanks for the reply.

In my pages report, I'm seeing certainly querystrings are kept in the system as individual pages, for instance:page.htm?poll=101page.htm?poll=102are saved as different pages, while most are not.page.htm?c=49page.htm?c=50How can I determine/edit which query string parameters are recorded? Thanks
