Re: Adobe Analytics Debugger Ben_Bytheway - Adobe Analytics
You can also take a look at the "Analytics" Tab. It is geared more toward just debugging for Analytics. That will give you an idea of what hits are being fired. From left to right is the order in which the hits are being sent. On the Analytics Tab it will also show you whether the hit is a Custom Link hit or a Page load hit by looking at the "Link Name" column.

Adobe Launch API - OAuth access Ben_Bytheway - Adobe Experience Platform Launch
As a developer, I would like to create an App that uses OAuth to properly identify a user to perform Launch API actions on their behalf. Currently, JWT is the only Authentication/Integration method supported. But the limitation is that we can't properly identify the user performing the action and audit logs no longer are useful for identifying who performed actions. The ask would be to enable OAuth integrations with the API. This could be via 3-legged authentication.

Re: Experience Cloud Debugger indicates false positive for AAM DIL Ben_Bytheway - Adobe Experience Cloud Core Services
Yes, you are right about that. (You may already be aware, but for future reference for others...) For now, you can see that what Modules are being used by Adobe Analytics using the Summary tab under the Analytics section. It should indicate that there is the "AudienceManagement" Module. If that is the case, you can assume that DIL is being inserted via the "AudienceManagement" module.

Re: Can Both DTM and Launch Be On A Site? Ben_Bytheway - Adobe Experience Platform Launch
No, you can't use DTM and Launch on the same page. Both DTM and Launch use the global variable window._satellite. So, whichever library loaded last would overwrite the other and things would break.

Re: Unable to download Adobe Experience Cloud Debugger RESULT Ben_Bytheway - Adobe Experience Cloud
Hi Jantzen.Belliston,I am doing some development when I can, but Erika Barber and Will Highland are driving it from here. Will has been developing some really great new features lately. I have been pulled into GDPR madness and haven't had time to fix this yet. erikabarker can probably help give more of a timeline. Thanks,Ben

Delete Data Element (not just disable) Ben_Bytheway - Adobe Experience Platform Launch
I can disable a data element, but can I delete one?If not, would like the ability to completely remove it from the UI.

Re: Adobe Summit 2017 S4608 - Adobe Marketing Cloud: Tips, tricks, and resources from the experts Ben_Bytheway - Adobe Experience Cloud
@Max Booker,Yes, it is real-time. Hits and network calls appear in the UI as they occur. This will allow you to debug video playback events or in the future direct-call rules from DTM.To answer in more detail, the Adobe Radar extension will listen to network events in the exact same way as Omnibug or the network console does.

Re: DTM - s_code Won't Propagate on Site Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
You will want to follow the instructions here:http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/dtm/general_settings_analyitcs.htmlYou will need to set the sat_trackcookie to "true" for every user. I think it must be set manually by the user, but I am unfamiliar with what the law requires...sorry I can't help much there. Thanks,Ben

Re: DTM - s_code Won't Propagate on Site Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Are you using your staging or production embed code? If production, did you publish all your changes?Have you verified that you put in your s_code as well as the AppMeasurement or H Code library in the "managed s_code" code editor in your Analytics tool?If you open up your javascript console on your browser of the page(s) in question and type in _satellite and hit enter, do you get "undefined" or any error? In your Analytics tool, do you have EU compliance checkbox checked? Those are a few things ...

Re: DTM Dynamic Data Elements Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Hi Justin,If I understand correctly, it seems like you are trying to create a custom script data element to use in an event-based rule. Is that right? If that is the case, you can think of the code that you put into the editor as the body of a function. i.e. function () { //start code editor in DTM // this is where all of your custom script code gets place return 'data element value you want to return'; //end code editor }So, in this case, you can just use plain javascript to define this data ele...

Re: What's the best way to capture content changing under an ajax/angular framework? Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Hey Jerome,I posted this in another question about using DTM in angular (http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/analytics-forum/adobe-analytics.topic.html/forum__ussu-hey_communitydo.html), but here is what I said:I don't have any documentation or best practices, but we have done a little bit of tracking with angular and this has come in handy for "page views":http://michalostruszka.pl/blog/2013/09/24/angularjs-in-browsers-console/In other words, if you want to hook into a view chan...

Re: 3rd Party Event Based Rule not firing Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Yes, this is probably the reason for why your data doesn't get sent to DoubleClick. This happens when you try to use a 3rd party Sequential HTML javascript item in an event-based rule after the DOM has loaded.I believe there is a restriction for doing this inside of DTM so that you don't use document.write('//third party script here') after the page has loaded and accidentally replace all of your html. 🙂 But I do know that you can't use Sequential HTML in an event-based rule after the DOM has loaded.A solution is to use...

Re: contextData in DTM Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
@TimHave you put a breakpoint in your code and verified that the code is being reached? My two thoughts are:1) Your script tag above is placed before your DTM container in the and your s object is created. So, your condition if (s) evaluates to false, and no context data is added to your s object.2) Your code is in fact lower than your DTM container, but is being run before your tool because your tool is set to fire at pagebottom or somewhere after that. You can always put that javascript snippe...

Re: DTM -Set load order of rules Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Hey Oliver,I should clarify one thing. When I mentioned that I have noticed that alphabetical order will determine the order in which rules are fired, I should clarify that I have seen this behavior with coding the script in a "Sequential HTML" rule. I have always gotten pretty consistent results with sequential HTML across rules in alphabetical order. "Sequential javascript" and "non-sequential javascript" haven't been as consistent though. Sequential javascript within the same rule should fire...

Re: DTM -Set load order of rules Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
In other words, this is the section you are interested in:The dynamic tag management queue processes them in that order but does not distinguish between a JavaScript or an HTML script within the page load phase. This means that the order of the page load rules within the queue determines the order in which they are dequeued.A simple way to determine the queue order is to look at _satellite.configurationSettings.pageLoadRules in the JavaScript console and examine the sequence. For example, a comple...

Re: DTM: what use does DTM make of the s_code specified for the Adobe Analytics tool Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Hi csc_mike_byers,The 'managed' s_code will be loaded in a separate script call when the page loads. DTM doesn't modify anything with your managed s_code, but simply does not load it when needed. Here is a screenshot of what I am referring to:satellite-lib... is the DTM container code which is loaded when you embed that javascript code on your page.s-code-contents... is the file that gets loaded dynamically for your analytics tool that contains...

Re: DTM data element targeting component of array Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Hey Frank,So, the problem is that when you use a js Object reference, the path can't contain bracket accessors to an array element. So, you can use a custom script which you would do what you were doing above:return window.consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategory;Try that out and see if it works. 🙂 Ben

Re: DTM library for hosted option Ben_Bytheway - Dynamic Tag Management
Hi Mike,I could be wrong in my assumptions, but I have always understood this method as a way to simply host DTM functionality on your own servers for downtime/uptime/SLA reasons. 🙂 Meaning, you would want to go with this option simply because you need to ensure that DTM embed urls/scripts never ever go down and that they are lightning fast and never give you issues. 🙂 You would then use the script loading capabilities by configuring the DTM UI to load the 3rd party scripts or custom built scr...
