We have an app where we have custom authentication working. Users can
sign in and sign out successfully. We want everyone who signs in
successfully to have full access to all the app content, and those that
aren't signed in will have access to only some content.Since we don't
need to keep track of which authenticated users have access to which
content (since they all will have access to all content) is there any
way to "fake" entitlement without setting up an entitlement server?
I am definitely not an expert but I was having the same problem and I
simply switched the link from opening in the cordova inapp browser to a
window open link. Make sure you have a pdf reader on your device for
this to work. Here's my link now:

So I've gone in and tried to reproduce this exactly. I did have the
banner in the collection it was referencing before as well. But for
testing sake I created a new collection with a really long name, a new
article with a really long name and put the navto banner in the
collection pointing to that article. I did not publish the new
collection or the new article. Using only preflight, I view my new
collection and tap the banner and it goes right where I expect it to go.
Not that this should matte...
We need to embed an RSS feed in an HTML article. This is easy enough to
do, but I'm having trouble getting any RSS Feed to display properly when
the article is viewed in the desktop Web Viewer. The feeds work great on
iOS and Android tablets and phones, but the feed content doesn't appear
in the Web Viewer. The Safari debugger reports that it couldn't run
"insecure content from http://ajax.googleapis/ajax/services/feed/load?"
Hi Valdeci, there is a bug in the system which is being addressed in the
next update to AEM Mobile. That update should go live next Tuesday. Here
is another thread tracking another side effect of the bug: Android
tablets displaying phone content
Ah, I see. Thanks for the context. The differences between iOS and the
other platforms was based on what I had said before, but your scenario
obviously wasn't considered. I've shared details with the dev team on
Way back in the DPS days, Adobe "opened" the .folio format, with the
purported idea that perhaps people would create other apps that could
consume and display folios. I'm wondering if there is anywhere that the
.article format is documented, and if there is any intent on it becoming
an open format?I have a customer that has asked if they can "wrap" their
AEM Mobile app within another "parent" app. I assume this isn't
possible, so I'm wondering if skilled programmers could create an app
Thank you Bob.That's what I did, yes. But contents didn't appear in the
portal but nothing in AEM Preflight or in the production app.I tried and
tried, and finally it succeeded... I can't understand why.More
In the layout template, when adjusting the spacing for the text on a
card, if you enter a decimal value such as .5 for either the Leading or
the Spacing, and tab away from the field, the value changes to 5
(without the leading decimal). You must enter the value as 0.5 for it to
recognize the decimal.
Ah. We had the same problem, if I used a custom font that contained only
a few characters. Once I made sure the custom font contained A..Z and
a..z, the error in the layout template disappeared. Our custom font had
only 15 icons in it in the A-O character positions. I just padded out
the rest of the font with roman characters N-Z and a-z, and then
everything worked fine. It appears that the layout template needs a
minimum character set of some sort to function and display properly.
Hi I'm having the exact same issue. So nearly4 months later we are still
facing the prob.My template Layout does not look similar on my Ipad
devices especially on the fonts. SO I'm kind of blind when I do my
design on AEM.Help would be appreciated
Hi Keith, Please try to change something about the article and re-upload
it. A simple way to do this would be to re-upload the article image,
though it could be the same image. After doing so, please republish the
article. There was an issue in the upload process of some articles that
some files within the upload were malformed, but it has since been
fixed. The above steps should rectify the issue.
Hi Keith,The DPS 2014 POC entitlement service doesn't work with DPS 2015
because it uses folio names and Adobe ID credentials that are specific
to DPS 2014. The plans for providing an entitlement service for DPS 2015
changed recently, and I don't have information about future plans for
POC entitlement. Contact me directly, and I might be able to help you.
Yes, we want to enable this as part of a broader set of customizations
for app chrome. You should have some level of control over the
transition screens, progress screens, menu, nav bar, etc. It's on our
list but I don't have an expected delivery timeframe for this.Neil
I have a very reproducible display bug appearing, both in the DPS
Preflight app and in my custom Preflight app:My first item of content in
the Default Collection is an InDesign article that contains an auto-play
video with a large button. When the button is tapped, the user is taken
to the second item in the Default Collection, which is the Home
collection. When the Home collection appears, the top "status" bar at
the top of the iPad that contains the wifi icon, time, bluetooth,
battery status, ...
