You can install new modules by running the LCM again. Make sure to select PDF Generator also along with the earlier installed modules. Make sure to do the configuration required for PDFg which is documented at https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6-1/install-configure-pdf-generator.html.

Please check that websphere global security should not be turned on. Refer to the below link [Point #4] and suggest if that's causing the issue.http://blogs.adobe.com/dmcmahon/2012/07/18/livecycle-es2-xmlform-exe-terminated-abnormally-with-error-code-3/

Please suggest if you have a pre-release aemfd package. If yes, we would recommend you to take the released bits available in AEM 6.0 official release. Such an issue was seen in one of the pre-release versions of the package. Also, make sure to install the OS specific package.

Let's say you have got the value of total in a variable say numTotal. You want to display it in a field named numField1. You can write a formCalc or javascript to do that. Below is an example of how to do it through formCalc script:if (numTotal > 49) thenform1.sf1.NumField1.rawValue = 50elseform1.sf1.NumField1.rawValue = numTotal;endif

You would need to download and install adobe livecycle ES4 server to render and fill the forms on mobile devices. Evlauation copy can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=livecycle. Choose the "english jboss windows" option and install it. The installation is damn simple for the jboss turnkey option I have recommended. Once your server is setup, you can deploy the sample MobileFormsIVS application made available in the setup. Upload your forms to this applicatio...

When users try to save the form in Adobe Reader, they will get this message. Reader can't save the form unless Reader Extensions rights are applied to the pdf. Reader Extension Rights can be appplied through LiveCycle server. You will not see this message while saving the form through acrobat. This would be the reason why other users do not get this message.-Saket.

I am assuming that you are setting tab order in the form through Designer. Once you have set the tab order and add additional fields to the form, you would get this warning message. It's not an error message. Review the tab order of your fields and adjust them according to the order you want the user to navigate. Choose "Custom" option in the "Tab Oder" tab and move the fields up/down based on the order required.

Download "LiveCycle ES4 Server". You would also need to download and install Acrobat 10 or 11 to harness full capabilities of PDF Generator.

Refer to section 5 in FormCalc help @ http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/es/FormCalc.pdf.It has lots of functions for date/time related operations and would be helpful to figure it out.

You can either remove the signature field from the form till it's implemented in your organization or modify the form to make the signature field as hidden/invisible.

Before concatenating strings, check the value middle initial. If it is null, use the expression:this.raValue = FirstName.rawValue + LastName.rawValue;

You do not need to upgrade to LiveCycle ES4. You can use LiveCycle Designer ES to create a form, save it as PDF. Thereafter, apply Reader Extension rights through LiveCycle server. I am assuming that you have Livecycle ES Reader Extensions.

That's good to know. Yes, I didn't specify the subform name change. I would recommend you to go through the scripting documentation of Designer. You would find that useful.http://helpx.adobe.com/livecycle/topics/livecycle-designer.html

Yes, you got it right. NumericField2 is the field in which you would get the number of days. You just need to add this field to your form and no need to set it up. Just write a script which fills in the value of "number of days" in this field. Here's the full explanation.Let's say you have two DateTime fields in the form namely DateField1 and DateField2. You want to capture the number of days in a numeric field[placed in the form] named NumericField2. To get the number of days as soon as the use...

Write the foll. formcalc script to get the number of days in a numeric field. You can write this script on exit event of the second date time field.// form1.sf1.DateField2::exit - (FormCalc, client) form1.sf1.NumericField2.rawValue = Date2Num(DateField1, "YYYY-MM-DD") - Date2Num(DateField2, "YYYY-MM-DD");Hope this helps.

You would need to create a form in Designer. The fields should bind to the appropriate DB columns[on server machine] with some scripting so that you can display the required options when the form is rendered/displayed. I am assuming that by "Validate and Save", you want to run some data validation scripts in the form and thereafter save the data from the form in an XML file. For this, you can add a submit button in Designer. Validation scripts can be written on the preSubmit event and data can b...

Didn't understand your query, please clarify certain things. Is it that you do not get any issues when you see the PDF in Adobe Reader but get into issues while viewing it in some other PDF viewer? Also suggest the exact format error you are facing and which application did you use to design the form. Any screenshots/form you can attach would be helpful.

I need some more information. 1) Please suggest if you have LiveCycle Forms server or you just have LiveCycle Designer. Looks like you have Designer only but want to know. 2) How do you send forms to users? Are these hosted on a web site?3) What's the different sources of data used in the form? Does it come from DB based on some information the user fills in the form? Any other source through which data comes in?

Your use case looks like htat you want to design the form automatically. There is no such component which would allow you to design form automatically. However, you can create a form template such that certain objects[check box, dropdown, etc] appear/disappear[i.e. get visible/hidden] based on data from DB. Thereafter, you can save or submit the form data in XML format. Need to understand your use case fully but this information gives you some hint on how to design your form.

Somehow, I took these as separate queries. You would need to write a script to do that.Write a JS on change event of the numeric field.// form1.sf1.NumericField1::change - (JavaScript, client)var chkLength;chkLength = xfa.event.newText.length; if (chkLength > 15) { xfa.event.change = ""; xfa.host.messageBox("Only 15 characters allowed", "Incorrect input", 1); }This would not allow a user to enter more than 15 digits including decimal and that too while entering the data. Perhaps, a user friendly...
