Hi @arunpatidar, I did try with both data-sly-test and data-sly-set, but it wasn't able to detect the variable. Got any other suggestions?Also just to clarify, the variable is set in the template, and I need to be able to access that from files that reference that template.

I have a question regarding this. If I follow this method, wouldn't I need to change every component that uses granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/pathfield to use the custom pathfield instead?  I am hesitant against this is because it would require updating thousands of our components.

We currently have the remote asset selector set up for Next Gen Dynamic Media, but for some reason we're only limited to images. Is there a way to enable other file types like PDFs? Not sure if there's a configuration responsible for this or something else.
