That's basically how we worked around it in the short term.  Them saying they used to be able to manage the status but not the actual dates rings a bell to me, but I don't see how to make that happen currently.  Thanks for the sanity check!

Thanks!  That helps answer my question.  We have our SSO setup to align the users to the appropriate Group, but nothing at the Company level.

That did the trick this time, I must of been doing something wrong when I tried previously.  I have it working with a calculated field on a custom form, so now I can just have the field readily available for the future anyway.
