Re: Ability to mark documents to auto delete when the project status is complete/done - Workfront 13-09-2022
Another idea to consider is to instead provide links to the process guides on the tasks within the project templates. Those links can direct the user to the uploaded document(s) within Workfront. That would prevent the document(s) from being uploaded each time the project template is used but still give the user access to them.

Re: For internal agencies, how to you manage creative approvals without giving proof visibility to project owners and others in the project? - Workfront 17-07-2022
My suggestion would be to have a folder within the Workfront project that has the sharing dialed down to only be accessible to those within creative who are working on and/or approving the piece until it is ready for others. Then, when it's ready for others to review, move that document into another folder that has the sharing set for the project owner and/or others to be able to access/view it as needed.

Re: Creative Briefs - Custom Form or Uploaded Document? - Workfront 21-11-2021
We have a large custom form (and sometimes multiple forms) on our projects and one of those forms includes the fields for a "creative brief."The way we've gotten around the custom form "wall of text" for our teams is I created a dashboard specific to each team that is on a tab and that displays just the data fields they need to be able to do their job. So, the custom form(s) collects a lot of data, but the creative team clicks on "creative details" within the project and see the tasks specific t...

Queue Details and Queue Topics - Need Planned Hours Default Field - Workfront 22-04-2021
Within the queue details and queue topics, we need to be able to set a default of planned hours the same way we can set a default duration.Without having to do hand work after a request has been submitted, we cannot get the resourcing tab to be accurate because of the planned hours being automatically defaulted to the duration. The duration of some of our requests is 3-5 days, so you can imagine how even just one submission (and we have many each day) can completely throw off the resource planne...

Re: Why would my due dates be different on two projects with the same start date, task constraints, and duration type? - Workfront 17-08-2020
The above two comments are true and also IF the planned hours and/or planned start TIME isn't the same on all on both project or the tasks within them, it could throw off the planned completion date.

Re: Leap User Group Follow-up (July 1, 2020) - Marketing Workflows & Approvals - Workfront 16-07-2020
Hello! You can set up the request/issue queue so it has an approval on it. You would approve and process those that have clear information and reject those that don’t. You can also, of course, set up the custom form so certain data is mandatory. That way the requester cannot click submit without providing the data needed to process it. Hope this helps. I also have ideas on how to build out a project template so you can make sure the data is gathered prior to going into the next team/stage. Happy...

Re: Suddenly Missing Task Assignment Emails - anyone else? - Workfront 16-03-2020
For us, it has never been part of the functionality that once the project is changed to "in progress" (equates to "current") that the email notifications are pushed out for all "active" tasks. (Active" task being one in which doesn't have a predecessor or the predecessor has been met.) However, for us, if an assignment is made while the project is actually in the status of "in progress" that is the only time the email notification is pushed out to the assignees and/or team. That's how it has wor...

Re: Suddenly Missing Task Assignment Emails - anyone else? - Workfront 16-03-2020
That is how it has always worked within our instance...when the project's status is "in planning" it doesn't send task assignment emails out. And doesn't send out any emails for those previously assigned tasks when the project is changed to "in progress." Many of our projects have multiple tasks assignments that won't be active for days or even maybe weeks. No need for tons of emails to be received for those tasks. So, we have always assigned the tasks while in planning to prevent that from happ...
