  • We do this in many instances where a default value comes from a parent object (Program->project, or Project->task) and may need to be overridden in some circumstances. In these cases we have 3 fields: Project.customfield, task.customfield, and task.customfield_ project.customfield and task.customfie...

  • I am trying to get active links to documents in a project report. I've been able to get the document name, previewURL, downloadURL, etc, but cannot get the link to activate. Any ideas? Text mode is: displayname=All Documents link.url=html(previewURL) listdelimiter= ‚Äö√Ñ¬Æ listmethod=nested(document...

  • Whitney - there is a toggle on the left side above the updates feed to Filter System Updates. Flip that switch and you'll no longer see the "Jody added 3 hours" and "Mikey deleted a task" type information. This toggle is sticky, so once a user clicks it, it'll stay clicked until he or she moves it b...

  • Great Explanation. One addition for those that aren't familiar with Commit Date. Once the commit date is set, if the project is replanned, the commit date does NOT change. In order to change the commit date the assignee needs to change their commitment OR the person needs to be removed from the assi...

  • I believe the system is proving info about the PERSON. This way if you are assigning work to the role, you know if the person has capacity. Without this, you would not be able to tell if the person is overloaded with ADMIN work when looking only at another role. Marty Gawry - CapabilitySource

  • Interesting use case. Unfortunately, no. You could create a report and have it sent out where an issue or task is complete, but there are no hours. Additionally, and probably more effective, is adding a timesheet reminder to your time sheets. This sends an auto-notification to anyone with an open ti...

  • I think Vic nailed it earlier in this thread. The key notification you want is "All Predecessor Task Completion to Task Dependents", which tells the assigned user that his or her task is ready to start. The other notification, "Task Completion to Task Dependents"https://amway.my.workfront.com/notifi...

  • This sounds like a classic grouping. Group by you planned and/or actual date on the expense. Marty Gawry - CapabilitySource CapabilityBlox

  • Really no way to do this. You can have people log time AS another user directly on the task or project HOURS tab. You can also run an hours report, perhaps as a matrix report, grouped by project on one side and Home Team Name along the top? Marty Gawry - CapabilitySource CapabilityBlox

  • First, I really like where the resource scheduling piece is going. Making great progress! I echo many of the sentiments already spoken. Restricting assignments to a named resource manager is cumbersome. I've seen more often a project manager making assignments. Restricting by access level makes sens...
