"Sort" is a crucial component of effective visualizations. If I want to communicate which tasks take the most hours, the least effective sort criteria is alphabetical, which is the only option available. To sort the results of a bar chart by the mathematical sums of the hours would be ideal.

  • Sydney- Others have suggestions for what to cleanup. I have a couple of suggestions for how/when to clean up. Careful if you're cleaning up Custom Forms...deleting the wrong custom form can have major impacts if a particular Custom Field is on only one Form. That data can be deleted accidental...

  • Doug- I like having the survey be an issue. I‚Äö√Ñ√¥m afraid the client might frown, however, because they like their projects to be completed when the deliverable is complete. Dragging their completed dates out while waiting for a client to fill out a survey might run counter to that. Perhaps if we...

  • The VP-Marketing wants to collect feedback from clients at the conclusion of each project. The questions themselves (level of satisfaction with process? deliverable?) are not so important. • You raise some very good things to consider...I will absolutely take them into account as we plan for this. A related question that has come up...if multiple business units are joining the existing instance and they routinely have projects that cut across units, what are the pros/cons to having on...

  • Anthony- Thanks for the response...the deck was very helpful. Though some of the research I've done suggests that global lists can be an issue for users (hundreds of filters/views/etc.) you suggest that you've been able to mitigate that problem by ensuring the users see only what they are supposed...

  • Eric- Yes, I'm curious how you did the virtual partitioning. Do they operate like different instances (with different administrators, for example) or are they in a shared envrionment with access to various functions limited based on department? Do all "companies" still share some of the functional...

  • My organization is already using WF in the marketing department but two additional units are interested in using WF for product development and scheduling functions. To me, it makes the most sense to work within the same WF instance rather than having 2 or 3 separate instances. Though the units will...
