  • I definitely agree with Heather on this. Your PMs should have determined as a group what they all need to keep track of when running their projects and create a view targetting all of these fields. For me it's predecessors, task constraints, priority, planned start/completion dates and status, but I...

  • in general I would advise to steer clear of as many non-letter/non-number characters as possible. Not that they won't display (they will) but more that if you start getting into calculated fields, they will make your life miserable. For example, I think to this day, we still haven't figured out how ...

  • my advice is that you take a closer look at the Task Constraint field. You sound like your task constraint is set to fixed dates, but the behavior you desire, you might be better off with one of the other constraints. A list of all of them can be found here: "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/a...

  • Proof is an add-on. If you had it, your system admin would see a one-line checkbox option in user profiles that reads "User can generate proofs" and how many licenses you have left. Users who need to generate proofs need to have this switched on; users that need to review proofs do NOT need a licens...

  • I had a chat with someone in Proof this morning, and rumor is the Proof deadline text field is being changed to a date field for R19.1 -- just in case anyone is interested. Haven't had a chance to test it yet. -skye

  • I agree with Mohini. Portfolios and programs function by allowing you to group projects together so you can share them all in the same way, or work on them all in the same way, and this usually falls somewhat along org structure, like business units. • well, this isn't a great suggestion, but at the very least, you can create an issue report, group by project name, download the summary view to excel, turn on excel's filter function and select in the Count column for any value over 8000. if you are set up to use queue topics in workfront, you can s...

  • Hi Theresa Let me preface this by saying that we don't have any requirements to create reports that order status in a certain way. So I ran a report in my sandbox, and made a guess that this was how it was being ordered. I didn't have time to create a new status and check it, but it would be simple ...

  • hi Theresa where project statuses are concerned, in "grouping," these are sorted alphabetically... by Key. (this is that 3-character key that you see in the Setup Area, under Project Preferences in the Statuses section). So here's a list of some of my statuses and their keys. When you group, they wi...
