Thank you!!! Your help with the replace option worked perfectly!!! I was able to replace the spaces with %20 using your code above...at that point I still had an issue because the resulting NETWORK link (vs. hyperlink) was no longer being recognized when it was copied into my auto-generated email (it didn't understand %20)...but I solved that too by adding the'File://' + to the tfFieldWithSpaces exit event:tfFieldWithNoSpaces.rawValue = 'File://' + this.rawvalue.replace (/ /g, '%20');And now my ...

Hey jasotastic81, I thought you might be interested in this. I took it one step further -- I made the Submit button non-functional, using the "access" property, until all required fields have input. Then it turns green and becomes enabled. It seems to work nicely.if (Page1.execValidate() == true) { this.fillColor = "0,128,0"; //green fill this.caption.font.fill.color.value = "255,255,255"; //white font this.access = "open"; } else { this.fillColor = "240,240,240"; //gray fill this.caption.font.f...

You can't uncheck it because you are always forcing the focus to be set on the textField. If it is blank on exit, you could add code to deselect the checkbox, probably above the setFocus:this.resolveNode("cbRequired").rawValue = "0";You could also put code on the textfield so if it isn't null, the checkbox is checked automatically. If you want to be really tricky and use some extra code, you could do this in tfSomething: exit:-------------------------------------------------------var emptyField = ...

Page1.Cash should do it. If it doesn't, you could use CTRL+click to enter the name into your script.Select the field you're adding the script to.Scroll the Design view until you can see the object whose name you need. (Not be needed if object is already in view)Click inside the script window to place the cursor where you want the name of the other object.Hold down the CTRL key while left-clicking the object whose name you need.

Here's my solution for this. You'd want to do some prettying up of the layout before you submit it to anyone, of course.

We publish almost all of our PDFs to SharePoint. (I'm not certain what version we are using, though.) Users who retrieve these files and click a submit button do not have a problem with submitting as PDFs.Are the users accessing the form from SharePoint clicking the same submit button? If they are not hitting the same button, can you verify that there is no difference in the code?If they are using the same button, can you verify that the script to submit the PDF is the same? For example:This sen...

According to Adobe, you can with LiveCycle ES4. At least, that's how I read their blog post on ES4 Mobile forms support.Of course, there have been several discussions started about this in the Adobe forums.Re: Unable to view the form in Mobile which was created using LiveCycleRe: I created a form using Adobe Livecycle, but I cannot open the form on Ipad or Samsung tablet pc.Re: Trouble using form on Android and/or iOS devicesRe: help help...Making existing livecycle fillable form mobile(ios/andr...

Here are some examples. They would go in the calculate event of your amount fieldSay there's a $5,000 threshold for the field to be visible.if (this.rawValue > 5000) field1.presence = "visible";else field1.presence = "hidden"; //to rehide if the amount drops below your threshold.If there's a second threshold for the other hidden field like $2,000 for field1 and 5,000 for field2.if (this.rawValue > 5000) field1.presence = field2.presence = "visible";else if (this.rawValue > 2000) { field1.presenc...

You can use this script in the docReady event.if (xfa.host.messageBox("A message goes here to explain the form","Title for the Message Box", 1, 2) != 4) event.target.closeDoc();Fair warning, I was unable to 'test' this in LC, I had to save the file and open it in Reader to verify it was working.

GENIUS!!! At first it didn't quite work for me, it showed zero values but did show this: 0 years 0 months. BUT then I looked at their patterns, one of the cells was not set for the MM/DD/YYYY format - uh der. I am so forever grateful to you and your brain. I may have one more problem I'm trying to work out, separate from this, but I'll start a different conversation.Again, thank you!!

Yes I used this scriptxfa.host.setFocus("TextField2"); in my full event. However I was able to resolve the issue by using newText and limiting the length to 50.Now I come across a different issue i.e., it doesnt work if I enter all uppercase letters in the TextField1.Reason being the characters count differ for uppercase and lowercase. Not sure how to handle this. Also, I expect full event can be a solution in this case, however If I use full event and change the focus to new textfield the last k...

The entire worksheet was created in Design View - so all the script written was done automatically by LiveCycle - The tables all exist with a single row to start, and rows have the ability to be added dynamically. As far as the scripts referencing header rows, I do notice that the header rows in each table are all named the same ("header row") in the script - could this have caused a glitch? In the hierarchy chart, they are separated out by a bracketed number, so it seems to realize they are sep...
