Do you need an actual validation message that prevents submitting?If not, here's a quick option. I'm presuming this is an event that is called by the Year Built field since you used "this" as the parameter for your function.if (this.rawValue > parseInt(dfPolicyTerm.rawValue.substr(0,4))){ xfa.host.messageBox(" "); xfa.host.setFocus(this);}

OK, that makes a difference. If you're talking about the values for the radio buttons you set in the binding tab, you want orderQuote.rawValue.

If you can provide a screenshot of the hierarchy, I may be able to make this advice more specific.Are you changing something in the same instance where the change event occurs? If so, using .parent to walk up the hierarchy may a useful option for you. If you have a subform that repeats and two nodes inside called tfSomething and tfSomethingElse, and you want to have the exit event for tfSomething affect the other, then this.parent.tfSomethingElse will always hit the tfSomethingElse in the same s...

Like I said earlier, a space in a URL or equivalent file path is usually changed to %20 instead of a space. Have you tried using that in the replace function?

Field.formattedValue returns a string, so it shouldn't be a problem.I tried your code with two text fields and a numeric field with a currency pattern, and it created the email just fine.I'd look back at that path to the orderQuote field. Is that part of a table or a subform? If so, is it in something that is repeated? If you place your cursor in the script editor and CTRL+click the orderQuote field, is that the path it gives you?

Is line 8 the cMsg line? There's a comma at the end that shouldn't be there since it's the last line in your mailDoc build.

The built-in javascript replace function should work just fine.tfFieldWithoutSpaces.rawValue = tfFieldWithSpaces.rawValue.replace(/ /g,'%');But if this is part of a link, do you want %20 instead? That's the URL equivalent of a space.tfFieldWithoutSpaces.rawValue = tfFieldWithSpaces.rawValue.replace(/ /g,'%20');

Here's an example solution. I'm not certain how you set up the dropdown to repeat, so I'm presuming that there is a subform that contains the dropdown list each time it is repeated.var apples = oranges = pears = 0;var lists = xfa.resolveNodes("sfSomething[*].ddFruit"); //sfSomething is the repeated subform that contains the dropdown list ddFruitfor (i=0; i

Open the form in LC, select form1 in the hierarchy, open the script window if it isn't already open (Window > Script Editor), change the view to show "Events with Scripts", press CTRL+F to open the find box, and type the expression in the "Find What" field. You'll probably have to leave out the indexes, and you'll likely only need the first part of it.

In the exit event for the field whose data you want copied to the master page:form1.pageSet.Page1.Text1.rawValue = this.rawValue;I'm making a couple of presumptions here: 1) The name of your master page is Page1 and the name of the text field is Text1, and 2) that you're handling the formatting elsewhere, or you don't care about it.If the formatting does matter you can try this.form1.pageSet.Page1.Text1.rawValue = this.formattedValue;

Here's my solution. Basically, the cell with multiple objects gets a subform inside, and the items inside of that are hidden by default. Then, based on the choice in a dropdown list, I make them visible.The script:sfCell.sfCBSet.presence = sfCell.ddSomething.presence = sfCell.tfSomething.presence = "hidden";switch (this.rawValue){ case "Checkboxes": sfCell.sfCBSet.presence = "visible"; break; case "Dropdown": sfCell.ddSomething.presence = "visible"; break; case "Text Field": sfCell.tfSomething.p...

The first thing I notice is that there are a LOT of endif's missing. From the FormCalc reference: You are not required to have any elseif(...) or else statements as part of your if expression, but you must state the end of the expression with endif. (Emphasis mine.)Also, towards the end (and this might be due to the lack of endif's) your function calculated the value of StartInterval, then sets it to 0. So, even if the rest of the function was working, that last bit would guarantee that the answ...

Looking at the conditions, it looks like you're trying to say "if column 1 has more than column 2 or column 3, then do something." JavaScript can't read conditions like that. It's reading "if (column 1 has more than column 2) OR (column 3)," and it doesn't know what to do with that column 3 number unless it's 0 or 1.Here's an example using only two rows and three columns. The rawValues are 0 and 1 for each checkbox. I've set it so that if column 1 has more checkboxes, then Col1 gets checked. Sim...
