Re: Date Field YYYY only and validation message. - Adobe LiveCycle 04-03-2016
Do you need an actual validation message that prevents submitting?If not, here's a quick option. I'm presuming this is an event that is called by the Year Built field since you used "this" as the parameter for your function.if (this.rawValue > parseInt(dfPolicyTerm.rawValue.substr(0,4))){ xfa.host.messageBox(" "); xfa.host.setFocus(this);}

Try formattedValue instead of rawValue.rawValueformattedValue

OK, that makes a difference. If you're talking about the values for the radio buttons you set in the binding tab, you want orderQuote.rawValue.

Re: Determine Which Node an Event has Occurred? - Adobe LiveCycle 07-07-2015
If you can provide a screenshot of the hierarchy, I may be able to make this advice more specific.Are you changing something in the same instance where the change event occurs? If so, using .parent to walk up the hierarchy may a useful option for you. If you have a subform that repeats and two nodes inside called tfSomething and tfSomethingElse, and you want to have the exit event for tfSomething affect the other, then this.parent.tfSomethingElse will always hit the tfSomethingElse in the same s...

Re: Use javascript "replace" function in dynamic pdf created with Livecycle designer - Adobe LiveCycle 07-07-2015
Like I said earlier, a space in a URL or equivalent file path is usually changed to %20 instead of a space. Have you tried using that in the replace function?

Field.formattedValue returns a string, so it shouldn't be a problem.I tried your code with two text fields and a numeric field with a currency pattern, and it created the email just fine.I'd look back at that path to the orderQuote field. Is that part of a table or a subform? If so, is it in something that is repeated? If you place your cursor in the script editor and CTRL+click the orderQuote field, is that the path it gives you?

Here's a screenshot of the example. This is the exit event for tfFieldWithSpaces.

Is line 8 the cMsg line? There's a comma at the end that shouldn't be there since it's the last line in your mailDoc build.

Re: Use javascript "replace" function in dynamic pdf created with Livecycle designer - Adobe LiveCycle 07-07-2015
The built-in javascript replace function should work just fine.tfFieldWithoutSpaces.rawValue = tfFieldWithSpaces.rawValue.replace(/ /g,'%');But if this is part of a link, do you want %20 instead? That's the URL equivalent of a space.tfFieldWithoutSpaces.rawValue = tfFieldWithSpaces.rawValue.replace(/ /g,'%20');
