I know that our data team gets very close numbers (like usually within 10 of what I see in Workspace).   I don't know the SQL they use, but I do know they use the Visid High and Visid Low together, and get the unique count of those identifiers.

I wish I could help on this.... I couldn't even successfully consolidate mine... it just outright failed... but given the issues posted here, I have a feeling I will be manually re-creating everything manually because losing that traceability is a show stopper!   And I won't even start that process ...

Like Josh, I was going to ask what the expiry of ALL your eVars are... just because the segments are set to Hit, doesn't mean the data populating the values is limited to those pages.. it might persist and your segment is returning stuff that isn't in your expected context.
