  • Hi Eric, welcome to the wonderful world of Livecycle! I might caution you that I am not scripting expert and I am 100% that there is some type of javascript that one could code changing the properties of a "submit by email" button; however since I am not an expert I will take a non-expert approach. ...

  • Sure, but it wouldn't be adding pages per say. More of showing hidden ones. What I do in this instance is add all of the pages that I think the user would need then either use the Action Builder or a javascript to show the relevant pages. So for example if you use the Action Builder you can select y...

  • It sounds like your PDF is a static PDF. You can usually tell if you go to the Save As function and under the Save as type it has (Static). Static PDFs are just that and lack the ability for significant edits. Also you can usually tell if it is a static PDF if other options in the Insert tab are gre...

  • There are a few ways to do this. The first would be the Action Builder (Tools - Action Builder). What you can do is create a new Action where when the drop-down list is changed to set the value of your text field to the value of the drop down list. Just create a new action, select your drop down lis...

  • Yes and no. No in that the integrated PDF viewer for mobile devices do not support Livecycle (XFA) PDFs. Yes in that Adobe does have additional platforms (see link below) for viewing and entering text fields for mobile devices. However I sense that you lack these options so I might suggest, if you h...

  • I do not think that is an option. Livecycle would not know that the form is attached within the PDF as attachments are in Acrobat; not Livecycle. If you want that kind of functions you would have to create the form in Acrobat.

  • While I am sure there is a fancy Javascript that you could use, that is a bit beyond my skills; however you can use the Action Builder for that; it just will take a few more seconds. Go to the Action Builder, create a new Condition, select your drop down box and then from the selection choose "text ...

  • That is called the Screen Reader Precedence. Go to the Accessibility Tab, and it probably is set to Custom Text as I figure that is the default when you create form fields. Change it from "Custom Text" to "None" and those will disappear.

  • Or if you do not have Livecycle Server and do you have Acrobat Pro you can extend Rights to Reader as well. I know that I have my Livecycle bundled with Acrobat and if you open the Livecycle form in Acrobat, go to File, Save As Other, Reader Extended PDF and then choose what option you prefer. This ...
