@Manjunath_K I checked both those things and no issues. It seems after more investigation that the "original" rendition of asset A is correctly showing the new content, but not the thumbnails. Is there some reason why my thumbnails are not being generated despite me using am.createAsset the same way you did?

Hi Manjunath, I'm not sure why, but when I try the same steps, the content is still not copied over to the asset. The revision is created, but it has no new content. Do you know what might be the issue? Thanks

I have 2 assets in the dam, lets call them A and B.How can I programatically make a new version of A, and use the content of B as that new version? AssetManager. createRevision makes a new version of A just fine, and I tried AssetManager.createAsset on the path of A using the stream I grabbed from asset B, but it doesnt go through. A new version gets created but I'm having trouble adding B's content. It doesn't matter what happens to B as it will be deleted afterwards. Thanks

Is it possible to trigger a workflow via a launcher, only after DamUpdateAsset?

Hi there, Is it possible to launch a workflow model after DamUpdateAsset without modifying DamUpdateAsset, and without relying on an EventListener? I'm not sure what conditions to set in my launcher. It needs to run on files that get created under a certain path, but only after DamUpdateAsset finishes running on them. Please any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Is it possible to trigger a workflow launcher with an event, or have it wait for another workflow to finish?

Hi, I have a workflow that I want to run on any assets created in a specific DAM folder, lets call it "data-folder".I need this workflow to run after DamUpdateAsset.I would prefer to do this without modifying the DamUpdateAsset model.I need to do this with an AEM workflow launcher, and not an EventListener. I've tried a few things but have not been able to trigger properly, once DamUpdateAsset finishes. Below are the things I've tried:1) Setting the launcher to Node modified on data-folder, and ...

Well, that would be creating a new file so I think it would update for other reasons. The Java File.lastModified method returns the same modified date that Right click -> Get Info returns on mac. Although I'm not sure if this is because its pulling it from the system somehow or off the file itself.

Yes that's correct, but the metadata is part of the image.jpg file and displayed by the file system, from my understanding.

Files on a computer have a last modified date in their metadata. When files are uploaded to AEM, some of that metadata is kept and put into nodes. The rest gets lost, from what it seems.I need to modify a workflow to: extract the last modified date from the file (not the AEM last modified date), and store it in a node that does not change. How can I access this metadata value from a Workflow workItem? Is this even possible to do without writing a separate service that triggers on upload, before ...
