I see that search only works with articles and NOT banners and collections. Will this be something that is going to be added for either collections or banners.

Thanks so much for this. Do you know if this, or something like this will work with articles that are created in AEM? We are having the same issue with those. I tested your script using a Muse article like you described and it worked.

(sorry just saw this) Yes Nathan we are.Fortunately there is a long link that I can use (which ends with .pdf), but all my data has to be re-edited so I can get access to the links.

The answer from Adobe tech support:"...If the hosting URL is not https, then there should be .pdf at the end of the URL.Because with http:/ it is recognised as a webpage only. "

I am getting closer to what is causing the issue. I tested 3 types of links: HTTPSHTTP but ending with .pdf, and our links that do not end with .pdf and are not on HTTPs. 1 and 2 work without any issues; but 3 does not. Now am not sure if the solution would be to have the files end with .pdf OR for the page to be put on HTTPs.(It doesn’t matter if it is in InDesign or HTML.)

Only in the AEM preflight app does this happen AND NOT with cards. They zoom in fine in the device browser. I can give Adobe staff members access to my Preflight app if you like to see. This happens in both the Pre-Flight app and the Side-Loaded app. I have filed the issue with support after I posted here and they are looking into and they have access to the app. @ambitappa77373764 Thanks for the input, but we need to create these as HTML files (not InDesign) as they have to be responsive and th...

I am having this same issue- any workarounds or things need to be done to fix this? This is happening on articles created:directly in AEM and sent to mobile, created as HTML and packaged into .articles, created in InDesign and turned into .articlethey seem to work fine if they are linked to a card.

I didn't see that button until yesterday, a few days after I posted that. It's not in an obvious spot, It would be more helpful if it was also on the Design page an not just Mapping. I don't mind it opening the last collection but it needs to be clearer on how to change it.

Layout Templates not showing "Import Collection" when opening

When using Layout Templates, I am having an issue where the last collection I had opened automatically appears rather than the selection "Import Collection". So I am unable to select the correct collection I need to view or change. This first happened when I was using Safari. So I logged out and wen to Chrome. The issue didn't happen in Chrome until after a few times of editing a couple collections.

okay so what I am not getting is how it works in the new DPS Solution. I have created HTML5 responsive articles using the HTML packager, but when they are are in a collection they can only be viewed the same way the app is orientated. How can make an article to have the ability to be responsive?

So Bob I am missing on HOW you do it, if you say: "You can.. with HTML"How do I put an horizontal (responsive HTML5) article into a vertical app?_____Edited after re-reading your statement a bunch of times:"You’ve never been able to with InDesign." what is that supposed to mean? with the old version of DPS you CAN have an app that handles vertical, horizontal, and multi formatted articles. I am not asking for the app to be multi, I just want to open up a horizontal PDF, horizontal web page or an...

We have hundreds of layouts designed horizontally using InDesign that we would like to have as an archives in the new app. While I agree that its not a great user experience to have different orientations in the same app, I think it is even worse experience to have them letter-boxed like they have to be now. So what is the point of having responsive design if we cannot use it in the app?

Bob you said "not available yet" Is there a timeline when the articles will be able to be dual orientation? Want to know if I need to rebuild my existing folios or if there will be fix on the way soon.

Vertical and Horizontal Orientation for HTML and PDFs
Avatar

So I've read the previous posts about Vertical and Horizontal Orientation and I understand that right now there is only a choice of one. But possibly in the near future there may be the option for both, but that would not allow one article to be both orientations. So here's my question: We have many existing folios that are horizontal that have PDF resources loaded into them that are vertical; it has always bothered me that they only come up horizontal and you need to scroll down to see the seco...
