I think "removed" would be a bad idea, but instead do it via a Filter. An obvious one being "filter only active tasks" for example, for deployments that pre-populate time sheets with the previous period's tasks for process reasons.

The ability to simply make our own timesheet reports which can also be used to directly enter time would be the ideal.

Wow, my planners were already disliking having to deal with Gantt in WF, but were just short of livid that they couldn't at least export to Excel to work with Gantt features there or in Smartsheets.
