Re: Getting error after integrated Magento with AEM versi... dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi @jadhavni3 some features like the Shopping cart capability connect out to Magento directly from the client side. To handle this on AEM 6.5 you would add an Apache web server + dispatcher to reverse proxy to the Magento back end. Here is a video tutorial: https://www.adobe.io/apis/experiencecloud/commerce-integration-framework/tutorials.html#!AdobeDocs/commerce-cif-documentation/master/tutorials/03-shopping-cart-dispatcher.md. Re: Integrating Experience Platform Launch and AEM dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
@daveb36428317 apologies for any time wasted. A colleague of mine just informed me that there is an issue with AEM 6.5.5 and retrieving the correct property (even if the Product profile and permissions are set correctly). This is fixed in with AEM 6.5.6: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-65/release-notes/service-pack/sp-release-notes.html.

Re: Discussion on AEM CIF connector vs Custom connector vs Other solutions dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
The AEM CIF Connector provides a number of authoring features, like product picker/category picker that is nicely integrated with the existing AEM Sites editing environment. In addition to the connector there is also CIF Core Components that can be used as is with CSS/branding updates or extended just like regular Core Components. Everything is open sourced and new versions/updates are rolled out fairly regularly. The Connector and CIF Core Components are designed to be used with any Commerce ba...

Re: On AEM 6.5 can we build a website with React, Core an... dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
For the SPA-editor you will not be able to re-use traditional AEM components as-is. You would need to migrate the HTL script(s) and create corresponding React components for each one. This might be quite an effort depending on your needs. FWIW there is some work creating React versions of Core Components: https://www.npmjs.com/package/aem-core-components-contributions-react-core-spa and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9759AhM7fAc but this is very much a work in progress and not quite production ...

Re: Twitter bootstrap with AEM 6.5 dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi dexm,I don't have an exact tutorial. How familiar are you with AEM Client libraries? There are a couple of approaches. The simplest is to create a new client library and add the distributed Bootstrap CSS/JS and integrate that into your page. Part 3 of the WKND tutorial [0] should give you a decent understanding of how client libraries work and can be integrated into your page. The AEM We.Retail sample site actually uses bootstrap (although its an older version using LESS)If you want to integr...

Hey johna91 I wouldn't worry about the `>` symbol. I think thats just an artifact from the new version of core components. In chapter 3 styles are added to format it.Also just a heads up we are going to publish a 6.5 version (w/ 2.3.2 version of Core Components) shortly so be on the look out for that...

Re: Implementing Custom Hello World React Component in WKND Events dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hey no problem! So in your source code look at: ui.content/src/main/content/jcr_root/conf/wknd-events/settings/wcm/policies/.content.xml this is the node representation of all the policies for that templateYou should see an XML node like the following:This is the policies for the Layout Container, You would want to update the components array [ ] to include your hello world component, So something like: components="[/libs/wcm/foundation/components/responsivegrid,group:WKND Events - Content,/apps/...

Re: Implementing Custom Hello World React Component in WKND Events dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi! Are you using AEM 6.5? I believe the Template Editor Support is only available in AEM 6.5+. The SPA Editor works in 6.4.2, 6.4.3 but does not have Template Editor Support ( the policies would need to be manually updated at the node level...)

Re: React Text Component is not adding in aem-guides-wknd-events example. dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi @aem_marc,There are two WKND tutorials one for traditional AEM sites and then another set for developing with the SPA editor. The traditional sites one includes some steps to use AEMFED: Getting Started with AEM Sites Chapter 3 - Client-Side Libraries and Responsive Grid AEMFED could also be used with the SPA Editor but I think the intention is to do most of your local SPA development using the built-in webpack server: Adobe Experience Manager Help | Getting Started with React and AEM SPA Edi...

I'm assuming that you see the Text component in the AEM UI and that you can add it to the page, but when you do it disappears? It may be a JS / client lib caching issue: Adobe Experience Manager Help | Set up a Local AEM Development Environment there are some steps to invalidate the clientlibs and then trying a fresh browser session / clear history might help...

Re: Custom Layout Container - Resize-able Area dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi matthewr46705702 Another approach is to actually have two layout containers. The outer layout container is the full-width w/ colored background and the inner layout container is a fixed-width (no background). The inner layout container will have the grids appropriately and you won't have to have some crazy CSS w/ negative margins. The downside is now you have to author two layout containers...If possible I would try to do everything with the Style System. Supertyping the Layout container will...

Re: content node ordering issue. dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
I agree with Arun, the easiest work-around is to ensure that the parsys nodes are pre-created when a new page is created by adding the nodes as part of the page template or cq:template if they are included as a component.

Hi @chgovind ,To make sure I am understanding the use case:During development, you are using a webpack dev server and any calls to your external service you are using the Proxy features of the webpack dev server and thus passing in a relative URL. However, when you create your production build and deploy to AEM the JS is still passing in relative URLs to your 3rd party API?You could look into using environment variables: Adding Custom Environment Variables · Create React App If you are in develo...

Yes without the ServicePack, the components won't be able to be edited in AEM. Service Pack 2 is freely available to download and install: https://www.adobeaemcloud.com/content/marketplace/marketplaceProxy.html?packagePath=/content/companies/public/adobe/pack…

Re: Adobe AEM Angular 6 Support for Multi Functionality Component dgordon86 - Adobe Experience Manager
You should also check out the We.Retail Journal Sample Angular application: aem-sample-we-retail-journal/angular-app at master · adobe/aem-sample-we-retail-journal · GitHub . The recommendation is to develop the Angular application outside of AEM (using webpack, or other build project of your choice). Only the compiled JavaScript and CSS would be ported into AEM in the form of a client library, aem-clientlib-generator - npm is a useful tool for this. This design pattern could be used on 6.2/6.3 ...
