I was using a previous version of Adobe Acrobat Pro and included was LiveCycle. I have downloaded the new version of Adobe Acrobat Pro and it does not appear to have LiveCycle. Does one now need to purchase LiveCycle Designer (full version) as a stand alone?Thanks allChomp

Thanks Robert;I did as you suggested and I still cannot get the field to become visible. I tried a couple of things.(1) In the Initialize Event - execEvent("change");In the Change Event - if (this.rawValue == "1") {why_subform.presence = "visible"; }The subform did not become visible nor was there an error in the javascript debugger(2) Took execEvent("change"); out of the Initialize Event. Thank you Bruce;I have tried your suggestion. For some reason when I select from the dropdown nothing happens. I am running the Java script debugger and there are no errors being displayed. I have also included execEvent("change"); in the initialize event. I started from scratch and created a simple form that only has 3 items in the select. I used your example and again, no sub form became visible, no errors in the java debugger. I used my old code and I still had the same issue of the selection...

Good Day All;I am putting together a form where I have a dropdown that contains 3 choices. When one of these choices is selected from the dropdown, a table becomes visible for the user to complete.The issue I have is when the user selects from the drop down, the table does not become visible unless the user clicks inside the drop down again.I have tried a “click and the exit” event and came up with the same issue. The following is the code I am using. I would appreciate any help with this.Chompi...

Thank you Jono. I turned off the loading the fonts and the file was reduced to approx 330K.. One last question, just because I am a wee bit curious. What is the down side to doing this? I am thinking that that user will only be able to use the font that was specified in the form?Thanks again JonoChomp

Good Day All;This may sound like an odd question and in some ways, I guess it is. But here goes.Form size difference?I have designed 2 forms that have all the same fields. The only difference between the 2 forms is 1 is English and the other is French.The French form is 1.4 megs and the English is 2.1 megs. I have had a look and there does not appear to be anything different between the 2 forms except as I said the language. The area using this form has asked if it would be possible to reduce th...

Thank you JonoIt appears that LiveCycle has become corrupt somehow. When I changed the settings it still did not work. Then I created at test file and tried a couple of simple things such as a text field with the “expand to fit” checked off and that did not work the way it should. As well, Acrobat professional would not launch while LiveCycle was loaded. I tried on my home system and it worked..I have requested the application be uninstalled and a re-installed. This might take a couple of days s...

Good day all;Now that I have this form nailed down and ready to send to the user, I get asked “1 more thing”. On the form I have a button that opens up a sub-form to allow the administration group to add extra notes. They asked if there was a way to hide this from all users except for the people in their area. The one thing I thought of was a password. In other words, if a user clicked on the button that was labeled “Admin Only”, the user would have to enter a password for the sub-form to become...

Thanks Srini. Before I saw your post I found the following. In your option which one would be better to use? I am looking at 5 directorates and each directorate having an max of 7 divisionsif(boxA.rawValue == "month"){boxB.clearItems();boxB.addItem("JAN");boxB.addItem("FEB");boxB.addItem("MAR");} if(boxA.rawValue == "year"){boxB.clearItems();boxB.addItem("2012");boxB.addItem("2011");boxB.addItem("2010");}
