I should amend this: when I say "page set" I don't mean an actual Master Page "Insert Page Set". Its just wording description.

I was able to recreate your setup and it works. However when I try to apply this to my actual form... no luck. I thought maybe the "Insert Page Set" would do something to set them pages apart from the total count, but not really. Thanks for this idea though! I'll keep this in mind if another form under different condition would be a better fit.

Is it possible to exclude certain Master Pages from the count for Total Page Count using Javascript? Example:Page Set 1, only count pages using Master Page 1 & 3 and not Master Page 2 & 4.Page Set 2, only count pages using Master Page 2 & 4 etc...These pages are also increasing with Add Instance objects. I only know this:this.rawValue = xfa.layout.pageCount()-1set in a floating field, but the static offset only works for a bit. After a few more page generation, the count goes off. Unchecking "In...

It works!turns out you need to set your input field as a Date/Time Field, BUT leave the Patterns setting empty.I guess the script takes whatever default setting the Date/Time Field uses... go figure... seems counter intuitive to me...Thank you very much mouslander!

sorry. No luck here. straight copy and paste. formCalc check; "dynamic" check; "calculate" event check;- syntax double checked... to my best abilities...- wrote out the references... "form1.Page1.Time1.formattedValue"I tried with normal Text Field.then flipped to a Date/Time Field with time set in the binding. a normal pattern selected in the display tab."0" is displayed in the total field... that's good.what's your Fields like? Text or Date/Time?how are you inputting your value? "12" & "1" or "...

Well this is strange...I placed a checkbox field on the page(that hides during print). if I check it, it should allow the page to print.in the prePrint event for the root sub page, I wrote:this.presence = "hidden";if(checkbox.rawValue = "1"){this.presence ="visible";}when I click "print" without checking anything thing the page shows up.When I look back, the check box is checked! I tried:if(checkbox.rawValue = "0"){this.presence ="hidden";}if(checkbox.rawValue = "1"){this.presence = "visible"}sa...

Originally, the client wanted a instruction page to be screen only and completely non-printing(not even a blank page).So I set hidden in prePrint and visible in postPrint. Now, they are thinking that maybe there should be a button that allows the user to print the page if they really really want to.So I though I need an override button would be the trick.Now I'm thinking set the prePrint event with a statement.. if something is true then hidden, else visible...and that button trigger a value the...

Can I reference another script object in a script object? All script objects would be under the same Variables hierarchy.I have a dropdown field.In the 'exit' event, the first reference:DropExit.Exit1(this);In the DropExit script object:function Exit1(current){if(Drop.rawValue =="1"){Color1.presence = "visible";} else {Color1.presence = "invisible";}if(Drop.rawValue =="2"){Color2.presence = "visible";} else {Color2.presence = "invisible";}}No problems!But, I would like to do something like this:...

First issue: Opps... yes, there's a mistake in my code. It should be:Dropdown 1selection 1 --> if (this.rawValue == "1") {that1.presence = "visible";} else {that1.presence = "invisible";}...Dropdown 2selection 1 --> if (this.rawValue == "1") {that1.presence = "visible";} else {that1.presence = "invisible";}...Second Issue:I tried the || (and or statement?) and it almost works...I first select "1" from Dropdown1... okay! that1 becomes visible.I then select "2" from Dropdown2... no.... that1 becom...

I guess it's reasonable to say Designer just process FormCalc differently than JavaScript.. which leads to limitations.With that said, does anyone know a good place to learn a crash course on how to write up a sum script in JS.Sounds like I need to know Var and ++i++ and real programing stuff.All I need is two examples.Field A needs to add up table column values from fields "aa" and "bb"Field B just needs to add up table column values from "cc"

Having it be in JavaScript would be better than in FormCalc? I guess the question would be, why would FormCalc trigger an error/alert message?
