I think the unique limits should increase, at least for the product
variables, and maybe give us one more special variable to use for
CustomerID. It is common to capture CustomerID onto an eVar, and 500k
unique CustomerID a month is just not enough.
Adobe marketing cloud is collecting enoumouse amount of data, I am sure
there is a way for it to predict deograhic segment of the visitor, age,
gender, interest, etc. GA has provided this, can Adobe has it as well?
Please give us the option to hide 'none', 'other', 'low traffic',
'unknow', 'unspecified'. I know what all of them means as an experienced
user, but you can't expect everyone who is reading the report knows, and
they look terrible in reporting. Please give us an option to hide those
per varible basis, for example, in the Variable setting, give us a few
checkbox to hide those for that particular variable.
I know api can do it, so are you saying users will need to learn things
like rest, json, soap and programming language in order to download
segment definition? This is a perfectly legitimate request from a lot of
users, why can't we make it simpler for users?
It would be nice to have an attribution modeling tool build on the
existing marketing channels we setup in the marketing channel report.
While you are configuring channel, you also assign % of credits for each
channel of the success events you selected. This would be much better
than what GA is currently providing.
No more the confusion of when to use eVar/Prop and List, just give us
200+ custom variables, and let us enable/disable features , and set
settings for each variable. For example, enable/disable Persistency,
enable/disable Pathing, enable/disable......In the code, it will be
something like:s.custom1='some value'
Roles and responsibility changes often, people come and go, and
especiallly in this field. When an analyst leave the organization, if
she deletes her account, all the segments and reports associate to her
are forever gone, yes, she can transfer those to someone else, but to
who? Until a replacement is there, no one really cares, or has the
expertise to manage those segments and report. i wish there is a concept
of Segment Repository, all admins can put segments in this repository,
but those segm...
I started twitting about this a year ago too. The fact is Adobe has been
developing a Clickmap 3.0, it's just the project died half way. To be
fair, revamping Clickmap takes time, and sadly, the bigger the company,
the slower the innovations. Adobe is more and more like IBM, HP and
Microsoft, which innovation has to come from acquisitions, and this is
perfectly fine and normal. I love..so..love their recent Tag Management
acquisition. Adobe still has one of the most holistic solution out
The current Dashboard player is probably....6 years old? I suggest Adobe
either get rid of it, or develope a better version. It is kind of
ambarassing when my users downloaded it, and saw the very very old
branding and interface.
Would this means potentially, we'll get getting rid of pros/eVars? No
longer I have to thin about which types of variables to use or would I
need to copy props to eVars. 1 type of variable, and just select
different feautures you want to have for that variable in admin.
I bet values like 'none', 'other' and 'unspecified' got asked about a
lot, in fact, there are even dedicated blog posts to explains that. As a
heavy SC user, I understand what they means, and i can understand why
these values can be confusing. My suggestion is to have a default option
to hide the 'none' value. This is actually one of the common request
from my users. For example, the campaign report. If user add
'click-through' and 'Visit' as a metric, it is ok to show none. But if
user only add...
Allow us to pass a unique visitorID to Sitecatalyst, and base on this
VisitorID, have 3-5 special variables which can store cross session
information. For example, I am on a home computer, logged in as
VisitorID='Joe' , and this special variable(let's call it s.crossVisit)
is set to 'Desktop's.visitorID='Joe's.crossVisit='Desktop' then I go to
tablet, and logged in, I have
these.s.visitorID='Joe's.crossVisit='Tablet' in the report for this
special variable, I will see this.Desktop->Tablet Basica...
Administrator should be able to do some of the following things, because
it frustrated me that as a heavy user, I need to contact clientcare for
these little things. Enable PathingEnable Merchandising eVarHide a
report suiteEnable Marketing Channel report I understand there are
processing time/resource concern for things like pathing and
Merchandising eVar, so perhaps just allow us of up to 10 prop for
pathing, and 10 eVars for merchandising per report suite.
Here are somethings that I like to see in SC15- Retroactive
segmentation, the ability to segment past data for a segment i define
today. HBX's active segmentation can do retroactive data for up to 90
days in the past, please match or beat that.- Segment base on link
clicks, url parameter, search keyword, exit link, frequency of visit,
time on site, etc, basically every pieces of data available is
