download segment definition

It would be nice to have the ability to download all segment definitions into csv file, just like dowloading of report suite information into csv file.  I want to be able to document them offline.

It would be great also to have possibility of complete import/export of segments

@wolocd01 , for whatever it's worth, you should be able to import and export segment definitions currently using the Adobe Analytics API.

I know api can do it, so are you saying users will need to learn things like rest, json, soap and programming language in order to download segment definition?

This is a perfectly legitimate request from a lot of users, why can't we make it simpler for users?

@CiscoWebex Sorry, definitely not suggesting that average users need to become proficient with the API. Just offering a possible workaround at a company level in the short term, meaning that my intent was that someone with a modest technical aptitude could download the segment definitions every so often. If that's not possible, then I'm afraid in the short-term I don't have a good answer. All I can do is try. 

We definitely can make it simpler for users. The question, as always, is priority. There are a LOT of things we want to do to make analytics easier. This is one of them.

@wolocd01 : The method you want is documented here: 

https://marketing.adobe.com/developer/en_US/documentation/segments-1-4/r-get-1. Just make sure to add "definition" as a field when you request the segment(s). Not ideal, but hopefully it's a start!
