Data Feed request flexibility

In the past when a continual data feed missed a day or two, you could copy it, select the relevant days, rename, and Save. This always happens for one reason or another. Now you can't do that anymore. Two feeds from the same report suite can't land in the same destination. However Customer Care can set up those requests. Please don't try to save us from ourselves. It is a real pain to create a separate area to resend them in a corporate environment.Could we go back to the way it was?

Segment Before First Order

I'm interested in seeing the behavior of prospects before they become customers. This could include one or more visits. Once they do become a customer, we place a non-PII customer number in an eVar every time they sign in. The main way we can tell who customers are is by seeing if that eVar is empty or not. The issue is that we are having trouble specifying before the eVar is populated.Any ideas on how to set up a segment for that? Is it as simple as this?Visitor ContainerOnly Before Sequence___...

In Segments, I'm interested in how Logic Groups work. The documentation is vague and they could be helpful with a variety of situations. I understand that I can calculate the percentage. I was wondering if it is possible to refer to the participation percentage rather than the number. It sounds like no. Thanks.

I looked at it further. It turns out that I can create a calculated metric that sees the number, but when I right click on the metrics to create one on the fly it fails:It must be a bug of some sort.Is there a way to reference the percentage rather than the number in participation metrics for use in calculated metrics?

Using the participation number in calculated metrics

I created a calculated metric using a custom event and made the attribution as participation. In a Freeform table, a participation version of both a number and percentage are shown (e.g. 46 3.1%).I want to use the resulting participation number, not the percentage, in another calculated metric. However when I do, the calculation in the calculated metric doesn't seem to recognize either of them.Is there a way to use a calculated participation metric in another calculated metric? I have an abandonment fallout path I need to create where visitors start Checkout Start>go to any page(s) BUT Thank You>start Checkout Start again>then Thank You page. The trick is that I can't just put the Checkout start twice because there needs to be at least one page in between them (rather than a reload).Rather than create a sequential segment and drop into the checkpoint, it would be great to be able to have a condition of NOT as a stand alone in addition to Eventual Path and Next Hit. It's easy to trend Previous Page (not Previous Page Flow) in Reports & Analytics. I use it all of the time to understand traffic changes that occurred to a given page.Is there a way to trend Previous Page in Workspace as well? From the Flow visualization I can select one path and trend, but I need to see at least the top five previous pages at once over time like in Reports & Analytics. Also I tried selecting "Try in Workspace" button from the trended version in Reports & Analytics, but it didn'...

Standardize list operation delimiters / Indicate list operation delimiter

It would be helpful if delimiters for the various operators with list capabilities were standardized to one character. Using spaces doesn't allow you to search on items with spaces in them (perhaps using single quotes?).Also it's a total guess as to what delimiters should be used with which operators currently. For instance "contains any of" is a space delimiter while "equals any of" is a comma. The only reason I know is because Jen Lasser told me (and even she wasn't sure if "contains" could ta...

Entry Paths Only In Workspace Flow Visualization?
Avatar

aablank2

In Reports & Analytics Next Page and Previous Page Flow Reports, there are filters for Entry Paths Only and Exit Paths Only. These filters really helped clarify the initial and final paths (respectively). Is there a way to see Entry and Exit Paths Only in the Workspace Flow Visualization? This is different from dropping the Page dimension on Entry or Exit in that that's for entry or pages rather than entry or exit paths. Also you can't specify the page (well, you can't easily).

The trick is that I can't just put the Checkout start twice because there needs to be at least one page in between them (rather than a reload). How would I show that in a fallout?

The flow visualization is really great, especially how it will let you see entry and exit pages. However when you place the page dimension on Entry, you see the top entry pages by traffic volume. If I want to see a specific page that isn't in the top five, I've added an Entry Page as a segment filter to see it (red arrow below):I keep thinking there should be an easier way to specify a page. Is there a way to do that without having to use a segment?

In the Fallout visualization, you can right click on a touchpoint and select "Breakdown fallout at this touchpoint." The result is a table (below) that lists alternate touchpoints rather than the desired one. I was going through this report with a user the other day a realized that the total was lower than adding up the visits for each page. Generally Analytics de-duplicates visits and the like in these circumstances. Because each fallout scenario is based on visits (not visitors in this case), ...

While Adobe is working on exporting more than the 400 rows in a Workspace freeform table page, this doesn't take care of the displaying of that data. Workspace can only show 400 data points or less in a chart visualization. Reports & Analytics can show an (virtually) unlimited number (e.g. days). We use this to spot larger trends or to zero in on when a given event might have occurred. There should be a way to select how much of a data set is displayed in the Visualization Settings, perhaps an ad...

Workspace Flow - Entry Paths Only option

Workspace Flow is really great. Although I'm finding that there are a great deal of circular patterns. This could be minimized by adding an "Entry Paths Only" option. This filter already exists in Reports & Analytics Next Page Flow. It would save a lot of time avoiding those circles and clean up the report.

Re: Analysis Workspace - Folders

If you use Workspace, you start to accumulate a great number of projects. It would be nice to be able to organize them in folders to avoid the clutter and be able to get to them faster (search is great, but you don't always know which one you need off the top of your head). Tags aren't used consistently by users. Even for your own they can take too much time when you are in the middle of a project.

Workspace Fallout Export in CSV

Our users are starting to rely on Fallouts in Workspace. They need to report on them quarterly by exporting the numbers and putting them in PowerPoint presentations. However exporting them in CSV gives you nothing, a title with an empty spreadsheet. Maybe I'm missing how it works, but it looks to be fairly easy to export all of the Fallout elements and numbers associated with them. Ad Hoc does it, why can't Fallout? It would even be better to add a PowerPoint export as well.

I capture the pageName in an eVar on each page load. The expiration is on the hit. That gives me pageNames in a variety of additional reporting. However I'd like to associate the eVar pageName (and other page attributes stored in eVars such as Channel) with custom events captured on clicks that occur on the page. With the expiration occurring on the page load, the eVar completely misses them. I could use the Minute expiration, but this just isn't precise enough. If people stay on a page longer t...

I would use calculated metrics that are metrics with segment filters applied. This is definitely different than applying a filter to a whole funnel. It lets you fine tune the funnel to a much fuller extent. Ratios wouldn't fit.
