As an Admin for SiteCatalyst im asked very often how to find shared
dashboards. The people often use the searchbox in the main menu
(dashboard/manage dashboards) to find a shared dashboard (see
screenshot). But unfortunately the search is just going through the own
dashboards. Shared dashboards cannot be searched. As we have a hughe
number of shared dashboards it is hard to find something in the whole
list. Please add new functionality to the search box which is marked in

A few months ago I was asked for a list with the content websites having
almost no clicks. As we have more than 8000 unique pages I tried to use
SiteCatalyst pages report to find out. Because SiteCatalyst is just
sorting descending I tried a trick and used a calculated metrik to sort
the pagenames ascending. As far as I can say the list was sorted by the
new metric but the results where wrong. The pagename with the lowest

I was wondering why there are no timestamp functions in the processing
rules. It should be really simple to add different type of timestamp
options like full timestamp or just access to hour, day, month, year,
week,day of week,...
Right now it is just possible to copy all processing rules of one
reportsuite to another. It should be possible to select rules from the

I always struggle with the scrolling behaviour within the dashboard
editor. It is very hard to get dashboard items from the left column into
a defined space within the dashboard except you want to add something
from the bottom of the item list to the last page of the dashboard.
While the left menu (where to select the data items) is at a fixed
position (and showing the upper items) it won't scroll until you reach
the end of the dashboard. So you have to scroll to the end of the

We often send short links to others within the company. It would be
great if users without login are also able to view a report. Maybe the
restriction could be that nothing can be changed (date, metrics, etc.)
and shown data date range is fixed (not relative to current date).
It would be even greater if SiteCatalyst would keep my login. Since a
few weeks session get lost so quickly! Every time this happens I have to
re-create the reports I worked on! Also bad - in IE7 the login button is
just half the size than it is in other browsers!
Unfortunately Omniture changed the functionality of its report filter.
Instead excluding the a string e.g.. "-item" from the list it is now
searching after it. It is so annoying to open the advanced filter box to
select advanced filter and type the search in the search field there!!!!
So please turn old functionality back!!!
Hi Ben, yesterday I started a chat session with the live support and the
agent asked me what the SAINT rule builder is! The chat session turned
over into a training for your support. Explaining what the "add rule
button" means was the level we where talking... definitely not what I

Hi Ben, the other idea says that it is free in premium contracts. Our
keyaccount says we don't have a license although we renewed our contract
of more than 5 bn servercalls a year for further three years. Why did
nobody tell us about the new contract options??? An I do not agree that
Report Builder is so much different to the Excel-Client. Maybe its more
stable but the major functionality is the same. What I think is:
Omniture removed the Excel-Client so we don't have this functionality
Hey,a few weeks ago I was at an Omniture Training. The trainer was
showing us the features of the report builder. It is to 98% the same
like the Excel-Plugin. The Excel-Plugin was for free. Why do I need to
pay for the Report Builder? Interesting business model: Change the name
of a product and make it cost something...Please make the Report Builder

When creating a new segment you first have to select e.g. the visit
container. Then you have to select a report from the list of all
available reports, s.props,eVars.... The list could easily reach
hundreds of rows and it is hard to find the right row even it is in
alphabetical order. Because translation is sometimes really surprising
it's even harder if you are using a different language than English!
Hello, we are using SAINT to group data for our monthly reporting. We
often have files with about 2-3 Megabyte. The Upload allows just 1
Megabyte. Due to security issues in our company FTP Ports are locked. So
we can't use FTP to upload Files. It is a lot of stupid additional work
to cut the files in slices to get them below 1 Megabyte. Why don't you
remove the Limit or put it up to 5 Megabyte. 95% of our Files have less
than 5 Megabyte. This size could be easily handled by a Web-Upload.Kind
I just did the setup for some alerts. Now I noticed that the information
in the alertmail is very simple. I selected several elements that may
have triggered the alert. In the email I'm not informed which element
has triggered the alert. I woul like to see the relevant element. If
possible it would be great to see a full report where the compared
numbers (e.g. PI) and the exact variance (+x% or -x%). Please see

I asked the support an they said it is not possible right now. The issue
is: We offer related products on the booking confirmation page. E.g. a
customer buys product A (Train Ticket) and we offer him on the booking
confirmation an additional hotel for the target city, or an insurance.
If the customer decides to by the add-on product, we want to track this
into the same shopping cart as the first purchase (to see the second
purchase as related product in the cross sell report). Unfortunately
I tried to set up a report with a fixed start-date e.g. January, 1st and
a rolling end-date. I would like to get a report on beginning of each
month for the date-range Jan, 1st til end of last month. I tried to set
up a scheduled report for a few times now, but unfortunately the rolling
optins doesn't work. Because a month has 28 to 31 days and the rolling
option is relative to the date where you set up the report, it is
impossible to get a report running. It would be great to have some more
I really like the Marketing Channel Manager. But to improve this great
tool it would be nice to expand the colum where the trackingcodes
appear. If I expand my channels to show the related trackingcodes all
the codes, keywords,... are cut in the middle. The column don't become
wider even if I hide the navigation on the left. Please see screenshot!
Hey guys, the new Marketing Channel Manager is absolutely great! I
started my configuration yesterday and it works fine. That's what I
missed in the past. But it would be even better to have more than one
configurable MCM per reportsuite. I wish we could have three of them:1.
For external traffic sources (all possible sources)2. For external
Marketing Channels (just the managed channels we spent money on - no

I spent a lot of time in doing classifications. The best thing would be,
if I could define some roules directly in Omniture SiteCatalyst and
define a Saint Job (like a Chron-Job). Also good would be if I could
upload classified data directly from Excel like I can do it with the

Our Pagenames starting with a Web, Country and Language identifier. So
all pagenames have the same first 12 characters. This is quite good for
using the filter but bas when doing path analysis or building
dashboards. Example 1: In the Previous/ Next Page Flow Report the
pagename is cut after 23 characters. The full pagename is only visible
by mouseover. If you print the report as PDF and sent it out, nobody is
able to use the report.-> It would be great if longer pagenames would
wrap on two line...
If i do a breakdown on a whole e.g. campaigns by product, only 5 items
with their related breakdown information will be shown at once. I can't
change this even if I do an export to Excel. It is very annoying when
people ask me for reports of 30 trackingcodes including the purchased
products for each code.
Today I got an update notification of my idea. It is ridiculous that I
need to login into ideas.omniture to see the comment. It is strange
enough that I have to post Ideas by myself because of a lazy Omniture
live support!!! It would be great if update mail includes the written
