Re: Can Audience Manager be setup as a subscriber to a Customer Attributes file jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Experience Cloud Audiences
Hi,My previous answer was correct. AAM can not subscribe to Customer Attributes. You are able to onboard data into AAM directly but the process is a bit different. You may want to engage with the AAM support team for a detailed explanation. The documentation around this can be found here.Cheers,Jantzen

Re: Not able set events in Web Page using manual S object jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Dynamic Tag Management
HI Satish,Can you provide more information around why it isn't working? You may need to use a different variable from 's'. I tried your code on one of my test sites that has DTM deployed var mySVar = _satellite.getToolsByType('sc')[0].getS(); mySVar.eVar1 = "testval" mySVar.t();This produced the following image request: Thank you,Jantzen

Re: Can Audience Manager be setup as a subscriber to a Customer Attributes file jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Experience Cloud Audiences
Hi,I believe most Audience Manager customers upload offline CRM data directly within the Audience Manager interface rather than using Customer Attributes. I don't believe there is an option to subscribe to Customer Attributes within the Customer Attributes interface by design. I'm going to see if I can get one of my Audience Manager colleges to give his input here as well. Stay tuned....Thanks,Jantzen

Re: Can't we use _satellite.setVar with this approach? jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Dynamic Tag Management
Hi,We have seen issues in the past when periods were used in various areas of DTM. We definitely recommend staying away from as many special characters as possible in your naming conventions. If you need to use them, underscores and hyphens are typically fine. I typically just use upper and lowercase letters to name data elements (IE: UserID, PageName, PurchaseAmount). Happy Tagging,Jantzen

Hi,If your organization is using Federated IDs, the number of times would be dictated by the identity provider. I'm still checking with our engineers on the number of times for Adobe IDs and Enterprise IDs. Stay tuned... Thanks,Jantzen

Re: Chrome 54 - Intervening against document.write() jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Dynamic Tag Management
Hi,Our engineering department is actively working with Google to understand the full impact of the changes. We are also looking into the Adobe libraries that utilize the document.write functionality. As you pointed out, at.js does not use document.write and thus is not impacted. We always suggest our customers update their implementations to the latest code libraries for all solutions. With that being said, we will be updating DTM to support at.js in the near future. Thanks,Jantzen

Re: Advanced Target Implementation via DTM jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Dynamic Tag Management
Mike,Thanks for jumping in here!Andrey,In addition to Mike's answers, I was able to speak gather a bit more information for your consideration. We have a help article that goes over the DTM load order here. I spoke with one of our DTM engineers about this and your question and he indicated that loading Target via Page Load Rule is definately possible. One thing you may want to consider is moving all your sites to AT.js since Google Chrome plans to start displaying warnings in the console for docu...

Re: AAM Id Sync calls and offline files jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Audience Manager
Hi Winsotn,I was able to speak with one of my AAM co-workers and he indicated the file uploads will use the same format as they did before. The major change in the first document is that we now use the data source integration code in place of the data source id (DPID). We still use the customer id which was previously referred to as "dpuuid".Hopefully, this info helps. If not, let me know what other questions you have and I'll try and get some more information. Cheers,Jantzen

Re: Login Error with a User that I have added into the User Management Console jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Experience Cloud
Hi Michael,Does that user already have a user account in Adobe Analytics or were they new to Analytics? Also, is it safe to assume you added the user via the Marketing Cloud Enterprise Dashboard? Lastly, can I ask what product configuration groups you have added the user to? Typically, there is a "Default Access" group along with any others you may have created. Thanks,Jantzen

Hi,Client care can provide your DTM API token. Keep in mind, this API token is user specific and should be treated like a password. Parit or I can also retrieve your API token if you want to private message us your DTM user's email address. Thanks,Jantzen

Re: Target iOS 10 visitors jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Experience Cloud
Craig,I'm not super familiar with Target's audience creation capabilities, however, I believe this could be done via an Analytics shared segment. Are you familiar with the People Core Service? It's also sometimes called Shared Audiences, Profiles & Audiences, or P&A. Using the People Core Service, you should be able to create an Analytics segment containing the desired audience and share that with the Marketing Cloud. Target can then pick up on that audience for use in an experience. Unfortunatel...

Re: need help - How to use Core Services Audience with Target? jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Experience Cloud Audiences
Steve,When using Customer Attributes, you'll want your CSV file to match against a declared ID, not the Marketing Cloud ID (mid). This declared ID is also called an Alias ID. More can be read about this ID in this article. Keying off the declared ID rather than the MID allows you to give the same user the same experience across multiple devices. This is also the reason the AuthState is needed (see below).Additionally, a common issue I see with customers trying to use Customer Attributes in Targe...

Re: Profiles and Audiences - Active/ Inactive question... jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Experience Cloud Audiences
Thanks for clarifying your question. Turning on a subscription isn't permanent. You should be able to remove the subscription in the Customer Attributes interface. The limit is an "at any given time" figure. In my test instance, I was able to remove the subscription by clicking into the attribute source and clicking on the "X" next to the subscription.

Re: Problem with re-activating a User in DTM jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Dynamic Tag Management
Marcus,If your user was created through the Marketing Cloud, using the reset password link on dtm.adobe.com won't work. You may need to contact support with these details. They can then look through the backend system to see if your user still exists in the DTM system. If it does, they can have the engineering team remove the user. Once this is done, your Marketing Cloud System Admin can remove you from the permissions group and re-add your user. This will create your user in the DTM system agai...

Hi Scott,I looked through some of our engineering notes and it looks like this was addressed for Analytics a few years ago. Is this specific to DTM? If so, I'd suggest opening a ticket with Client Care. They can create a bug for the DTM team to look further into it.Cheers,Jantzen

Re: General Page Load Rule jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Dynamic Tag Management
Hi Ali,The Analytics tool in DTM will fire an Analytics s.t() (Page Load) beacon on each page by default. You don't need a "blank" page load rule in the rules section. Each rule in the page load rule section just modifies that default beacon. If you have a rule that isn't making any modifications to the defaults set in your tool, I'd recommend removing it. As always, be sure to test this in your staging environment before deploying in production.Cheers,Jantzen

Re: Profiles and Audiences - Active/ Inactive question... jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Adobe Experience Cloud Audiences
Kevin,Creating a Customer Attributes data source does not count against any limits. You can always add new data sources, so long as they have a unique alias ID. The only limits or "slots" as you called them are around subscriptions. You can find more about the subscription limits here. I've posted them below for convenience. When configuring subscriptions and selecting attributes, the following limits apply depending on the solutions you own:Analytics Standard: 3 totalAnalytics Premium: 200 per ...

Hi,It sounds like your user might be missing the permissions associated with the different products. Are you a system administrator for your company's Marketing Cloud? If so, you can use the Enterprise Dashboard to grant permissions to yourself and others within your company. If you're not, you can ask your Marketing Cloud system admin to grant your user the needed permissions. Here is some documentation to get you started:https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/mcloud/admin_getting_star...

Re: Cross Domain Tracking jantzen_belliston-Adobe - Dynamic Tag Management
Filipe,Thanks for the additional details. It's a bit concerning that site one is using s_fid as that is to be used as a last resort ID. I'd contact Analytics customer care and see if they can figure out why your not getting s_vi cookies on that site.I'm sure what your asking is possible, it just might not be a supported Adobe implementation. Essentially, you'd need two isolated instances of Analytics code on the pages you wanted to track on site 2 that report back to site 1. These instances woul...
