Re: How to make a javascript function execute in the order I write it mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
What if you left textfield1 as open. You could lock the field on an exit event.1- user enters data in field12- on exit the field is set to read only3- next user clicks the button to reset the form4- form is reset to its original presence.5- textfield1 is openThe issue is that remerge seems to be a final event. Nothing executes after that.

Re: Growing text from bottom to top !! IS it possible? mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
the only way I can think to achieve this would be via a table. You can start with one row. When a new row is needed and you click to add it, the row would be placed above the current content. Not sure if that would help

what does not work for row 3? when you remerge you essentially are resetting the form back to its original state. What state does row 3 start out in? what happens to it after remerge

Re: Dynamic Tables - not growing the table rows mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
you are probably not referencing the table properly. Try the following on the click event of your button. You do not need to use the If statement right now. Try to add the row firstTable1.Row1.instanceManager.addInstance(1);

Re: Live Cycle Designer Javascript Help mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
It is hard for me to determine the script based on the MS Word calculation. I believe you want something like:if(nights < 2){perDiemMeals = nights * .75}in the sample above there would be the assumption that there is a field called "nights" and a field where the calculation would go called perDiemMeals

Re: Time Field Format Conversion mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
you should be able to achieve this through a Regular Expression. You would write it for the exit event so that when the user enters 136p they would get 1:36pm. The regular expression would add teh ":" and replace p or P with "PM"

Yeah it was as I expected. Someone forgot to add the indent on the right margin for those fields. I do not have google drive to upload the file. Is there another way I can send it to you?

Sorry i am not quite there yet. So you need to know across 80 rows how many 1 & 3s there are and how many 2 & 4s?

Re: Form - Lock fields after input but not signatures. mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
MinusZero's approach will work, however if there are may fields on the document that needs to be locked this would take an unnecessarily long script.I would simplify it with:xfa.resolveNode("form1").access = "protected" // this will protect the whole documentsignaturefield1.access = "open" // this will reopen and ensure the signature field remains sign-ablebutton1.presence = "hidden" // this will hide the button

Re: Allow Newly Added Table Cells To Be Styled With "Content In A Flowed Container" mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
So ultimately it is just an alignment issue? If that is the case if you want to send it to me at mousland@gmail.com I can fix it in about 5 minutes. Ultimately it just looks like someone used either a right margin in the paragraph tab or a margin in the layout tab

How was the form created. I realize you did not do it. Is the table static meaning that all rows were added or does the user add rows?

Re: SAVE AS mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
I would need to see the file to really know what the issue is. I am guessing you or someone added a script at some point that is triggering on open. Are you binding to data? Are you doing a calculation. If you want to send me the file I can try to take a look at it. mousland@gmail.com

Re: SAVE AS mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
The Save As usually occurs when the document is considered changed. I am guessing you have a script that fires when the document is open marking it as "changed" Other than finding the script and modifying it, if possible you will have this same issue. I am not sure that you can suppress it in any other way.

Re: modify modules LiveCycle Designer mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
Ok so Mac OS preview is good but limited. If you need to add pages or insert attachments I would use Reader but there is one caveat to this. The file needs to first be extended to support additional functionality. A normal pdf in Reader does not inherently have this ability.

Re: modify modules LiveCycle Designer mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
I am not completely sure what you mean but I will make a guess. You have a form that has sections (Modules). Within those sections, you would want to remove and add based on some input? If this is the case you can do this with Adobe LiveCycle Designer but you will need to understand the tool to achieve this. Once the form is created with Adobe LiveCycle the output will be a PDF Form that should be usable by you and others.

Re: Disable Script Error window mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
Designer tries to process the FormCalc. There may be a way to bypass the error but I am not sure how. It will basically ignore the JS error and continue to work.

Re: Unable to save or sign documents from LiveCycle ES4 Version 11 mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
So Reader Extending can be done a couple ways but I caution how you plan to use them. Adobe has agreements on what can be extended and then distributed. You should reference their licenses or call them. In any case for a single form you can do this with The full version of Adobe Acrobat (I am using Acrobat XI). Open the form, Select File -> Save as Other -> Reader Extended PDF -> Enable More tools. Once you do that, close the form and try opening it in Reader. You should now be able to fill in, ...

Re: Have you found any software comparable to Livecycle Designer? mouslander - Adobe LiveCycle
There may be other form design tools out there. It all depends on what you want to do with them. If you want to create Adobe PDF Forms your options are AcroForms - the are Forms that are designed pretty much any way you want to i.e. InDesign, Illustrator, Word etc. You would convert them to PDF then overlay form fields on them. This has been around since the mid 1990's and works well. One benefit is that the form can be displayed on a hand held device such as a smart phone or a tablet. Where the...

What application are you opening them with? It sounds like it is Adobe Reader or some other free PDF Viewer. If this is the case as I suspect you will need to reader extend them so that they can be saved with the Reader application.

I would modify to be:if ($record.PAGE.FIELD.value == "AB" || $record.PAGE.FIELD.value == "CD" || $record.PAGE.FIELD.value == "EF" || $record.PAGE.FIELD.value == "GH" || $record.PAGE.FIELD.value == "IJ")You could simplify it to be:var a = $record.PAGE.FIELD.valueif (a == "AB" || a == "CD" || a == "EF" || a == "GH" || a == "IJ"){
