Hi Brandon,It's difficult to tell what's happening without seeing the form? It could be due to many reasons. WHat about the data binding of those fields? Have you made the form as reader extended? Share your form, if possible.Thanks,Bibhu.

Hi Joe, I found the issue. When you are making the Texts which are hidden as "Exclude from Layout", this will not work. I mean one dropdown will only work. If you are making those as hidden then both will work simultaneously.One more thing get rid off the Action builder. Though it's easy it's better to use JavaScript of your own where you can do the scripting as per your need.Thanks,Bibhu.

If we assume that the Default value of your unchecked checkbox is zero, in the click/change event of the checkbox you can total the value of the checkboxes and divide it by 2.Var total = (CheckBox1.rawValue + CheckBox2.rawValue+ CheckBox3.rawValue + ....) / 2Thanks,Bibhu.

I found that you have not reader extended the form, so it will not work properly for them who has only Adobe Reader, it will work for them who have Acrobat Pro. So you need to ReaderExtend the form. Either by Acrobat pro or by LiveCycle ReaderExtensions.Thanks,Bibhu.

I am bit confused what you have written. The first park seems OK when you are trying to set the instance.But when I look at the second part, I got confused. Here this.rawValue is returning a String value. Is this the same field that you are trying in the previous part ?

So, in that case make Global Data binding for Tables with the consolidated lable only. Here Table1 should be made global with the consollidated table not with Table2.Thanks,Bibhu.

Yes, You an do that. In the exit event of the NumericField you can use the following script.if (this.rawVale >= 500.00) { app.alert("Please enter a value less than 500.00"); this.rawValue = "";}Thanks,Bibhu

Ok. You can use the same script with little bit of changes. Sum(form1.page1.subform1[*].TextField1). And as I have mentioned earlier you have count the no. of instance and loop through those values for a cumulative value.Thanks,Bibhu.

Hi,Assuming that your table structre remainsa the same, i.e no. of coulms remain the same. Lets say you have Two table Table1,Tabble2 and one consolidated Table as Table3.You can use Global databinding to accomplish the task easily. All you have to do is to maintain the same Field name in table1 and correspong Table 3.That means lets say there is cell in table one who field name is Table1.Row1.Column1. You want to habe the same data in the Table3. So ,you have to name that field as Table1,Row1.C...

Try this.if (xfa.resolveNode("xfa.form.data.MainSubform.Contact02Subform.FAVOR"). rawValue == 'AAA') { xfa.host.messageBox("My IF"); }else { xfa.host.messageBox("My ELSE"); }endif is used in FormCalc generally not in JavaScript.Thanks,Bibhu.

Hi,I am also not clear what are you trying to explain here. What am assuming here is you want to execute the same code in the CheckBox as that of radioButton. In that case you can call the event of the RadioButton in the Click/Change event of the CheckBox.Lets say you have written the code in the Change event of the RadioButton.In the change event of the checkbox you can write the following code.RadioButton1.execEvent("change");Thanks,Bibhu.

Hi Paul,Yes, you can use a XML schema in an existing form provided you have not used any XML schema earlier. In case you have used, it will overwrite the previous XML schema. You can submit as XML. You can collect data as XML. from the form.Thanks,Bibhu.

Hello Paul,What's the structure of the table? Is a static one or you are adding rows dynamically? Lets say it is a static one and the Row numbers are Row1, Row2, Row3 etc. You can write a script to count the number of the rows and in the initialize event of the DropDown you can put the value.var thisElement ; var nodeLength = Table1.nodes.length; // Counts the total nodes present in the table. var rowCount = 0; for (var i=0; i

Hi,If your row names are like Row1,Row2,Row3 etc. If you use instanceManager.count will give you 1 as we have only one instance of Row1/2/3.Instead you can use the following script.var thisElement ; var nodeLength = Table1.nodes.length; // counts the total node length of the table var rowCount = 0; for (var i=0; i

Hi, In the calculate event of the Total field you can put this script. Sum(form1.page1.Table1.Row1[*].Cell1) in FormCalc. If you want a cumulative addition I mean Ro3Value = Row1 value + Row 2 value. i.e every new instance value will be automatically added to the previous instance value. You can also use the same script . Make the field as hidden. Then in the exit event of the Row's field populate the same value from the hidden Total field.Thanks,Bibhu.

Hi Cyndi,I guess there is reference mistake here. The form hierarchy shows that your page name is 'sVARAPage1' not VARAPage1. If you see, the 's' is missing in the pagename that you are referencing to.Secondly I hope the second table tableH1 in which the Dropdown is there is a static one. Is not it? Id not, you have to tweak the code bit.Thirdly, most imporart thing you have to put the script in the exit event of the TextField whose value you are adding in to the DropDown. Here tfA3species.Thank...
