Re: More Features BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Hi Rich! Good suggestions. A few of these will be addressed later on in the beta process. I like the idea of hourly running totals. Trended data should be available today. Just add dimension values as columns. You can view dimension values by finding the dimension on the left and then clicking the right-facing arrow to see the items that are available for that dimension. Then add the desired granularity as your dimension.

UPDATED: Upcoming Features in Analysis Workspace and Freeform Analysis BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
There are a number of key features that Adobe is planning to add to the Freeform Analysis tool and the Analysis Workspace over the coming months. This post contains a list of many of these features. Please check back often or subscribeto this post so that you receive updates whenever we add new "upcoming features" to this list, or introduce these features into the tool. As Adobe is already aware of the need for these capabilities, you do not need to submit feature requests here on the forum for ...

Re: Copy Paste BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Hi Joris! Thanks for this idea. The ability to copy out of a table is one of the upcoming features that our team is currently working on. You can see the full list here: http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/analytics-forum/freeform-analysis.topic.html/forum__lctk-there_are_anumbero.html.

Re: Share a project BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Hi Maxime, This is actually a feature that we are working on right now, for inclusion soon. At the moment, only Admin users can see projects once they have been shared, even though the tool does allow you to share with non-admins. This should change later this spring. Thanks!Ben

Re: Create Data Warehouse Request from Analysis BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Great feature request, Jason. This is exactly the sort of cross-tool integration we'd like to do. We'll keep an eye on this idea for "hearts" and comments.

Re: Filterfunction BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Hi Maria, Next to the name of the eVar in the table, there should be a filter icon which brings up the dialogue to filter the results:Let me know if you don't see it!Thanks,Ben

Re: Date Range Selection BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Great comments, Julius. 1. For date selection, you aren't limited to just the draggable options. There's also a calendar for choosing a specific date in the past. (I agree with Daniel that the calendar could/should be improved, but it's there!)2. I see what you mean about this workflow being a little bit . . . off. I think this should be addressed when we add the "table builder" to the tool, which will let you easily arrange and re-arrange dimensions, segments, and metrics before running the que...

Re: Date Range Selection BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Hi Jonathan, This is something we've spent quite a while discussing, and probably will continue to consider. For now, all date range changes occur at the panel/tool level, but I can definitely see why you'd also want it at the project level. Thanks, Ben

Re: General Questions / Comments / Feature request / Usability BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Good suggestion, Susan. I think we picked 200 because that's the limit in Reports & Analytics (and then we added pagination so you could view additional results), but I'll bring up with our engineering team the possibility of going beyond 200. (This will also be easier when CSV export is available, coming soon!)

Hi @Smatty! Thank you so much for the feedback. Some comments/answers are inline below: Smatty wrote... Really love the tool! Some comments to make it even better: Where do saved projects go and how do I find and open ones that I've saved? On the left nav, if you go to Components > Manage Projects, you will find your saved projects. We are working on a better way to access these; they are much too hard to find right now. Date range menu - there is a delay in Chrome - the open fields takes 3 secon...

Re: Change the order of tables BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Hi Jennifer! We sure are targeting a feature along those lines to give you more control over the layout of a project, both in the Analysis Workspace, and in other workspaces that you might create for your colleagues. (For example, you might want to create a project with multiple tables side by side, instead of one on top of the other.) I think this will come along a little later in the beta as we work toward allowing you to build those other workspaces. I very much appreciate your encouraging wo...

Re: Breakdown The Adobe Reports&Analytics way BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Great feedback, Kishore. I'll bring this up with our engineering team. Anyone else on here have any thoughts about the breakdown menu? Should it maintain the navigation structure, or should all dimension be treated in one bucket (like they are in the draggable left rail in Freeform Analysis)?

Re: Bug? - Search Results BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Andy: Our engineering team took a look at this. The way that fuzzy search works is that if it can spell the word you typed out of the letters/numbers in a dimension name, it will show those results (albeit lower than a dimension name that matches more directly, which is why the dimensions you were looking for showed up higher on the list). They pointed out that you can actually spell "navigation" using the words in the bottom two results: Creative Name eVar71 (integration testing)So, technically...

Re: Bug? - Search Results BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Hi Andy. Not sure what is happening here. We do use "fuzzy" search, so we try to guess what you're trying to ask for (for example if you mis-type and search for "rervenu" it should return Revenue correctly), but I don't know why that would cause completely unrelated results to return. I'll file a bug with our engineering team. Great catch!

Training Video Series on Analysis Workspace/Freeform Analysis BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Justin Grover and I have started recording and publishing a series of introductory videos on the Analysis Workspace and Freeform Analysis. We'll create and update a playlist as we go, but you can watch the first video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS3KVGtowwAThis is a great way to get started if you've never used Freeform Analysis before. If you have any ideas for topics you'd like to see us record -- perhaps things you wish you had known when you started using Freeform Analysis, or thin...

Re: Dates comparisson BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Agreed! This is coming soon when we add custom date ranges as a draggable item. You can already do this, technically, but the date ranges you can compare are limited. To try it out, click over to the date ranges in the draggable stack on the left, then drag and drop the ranges that you want (e.g. "Today" and "Yesterday") as columns in a table.

Hi Lindsay! It's great to hear that you are enjoying the tool so far. We do have a known issue with visibility of shared projects at the moment; this will be fixed in our April maintenance release, if not sooner. I'm very sorry that it has gotten in the way of sharing projects with other members of your team. Thanks,Ben

Warren, GREAT catch. I'll follow up with our engineering team on this, but you should definitely have the Instances metric. This is probably just something that they are planning to add in an upcoming release of the beta. The solution will definitely allow for Instances in the future. Thanks, Ben

Re: Dimensions in Columns BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
ClientCare isn't providing support on Analysis Workspace yet, while it is in public beta. It turns out I am only partially right. You can't drop an entire dimension onto a column header yet. That's planned for an upcoming release. However, you can add specific dimension values as columns. To do this, mouse over the dimension that you want (in the left rail). You should see a right-pointing arrow appear to the right of the dimension name. Click on that. You will see the dimension values, and you ...

Re: Dimensions in Columns BenjaminGaines - Adobe Analytics
Sorry for the delayed response on this. You can definitely add dimensions into a column; you should be able to just drag and drop. If you want to add specific values of a dimension, you can also do that by clicking the arrow to the right of the dimension name in the draggable stack on the left, which will produce a list of values for that dimension. The same is true of the built-in date ranges currently available in the draggable stack; we will be adding custom date ranges very soon, which will ...
