@jkal This is a great discussion! First, I think we do understand how
aggravating it is for your users to have to switch back and forth. Any
delay in getting calendar events into Workspace isn't borne out of a
lack of empathy. Our goal is for Analysis Workspace to be the place for
analysis in the future. It's a long road getting there (in part because
of all of the tremendous capabilities built into Reports & Analytics and
Ad Hoc Analysis over well more than a decade), and we understand that
Hi jkal. This feature is definitely on our radar, but it will likely not
be happening in the first half of 2017 as we focus on a number of other
major projects which represent even bigger opportunities for many of our
Hi Matt. That response from Customer Care is incorrect. I can see what
they're thinking, but I don't think they understood what you're
reporting. If you're only getting the first part of the project, that's
a bug. Do you have a ticket number I can look up?
Matthew, can you clarify a little bit? You should be able to send the
entire project via PDF, so I'm not entirely sure what you mean. When you
export or schedule, the entire contents of the project should be
delivered. If you're not seeing that, I would consider it a bug which we
should fix, rather than a feature request.
Hi Silas (and everyone), This post gives me very mixed feelings: I'm
glad to hear that you are using/adopting/loving Analysis Workspace, but
of course I am very sorry to hear that our release last month introduced
a handful of issues that are giving you pause. We absolutely should have
done a better job with that release to ensure that we did not introduce
new issues while rolling out a bunch of exciting new features; it isn't
okay to sacrifice the fundamentals for the shiny new object, and sinc...
Hi Fernando, For the latest information on product feature requests for
Adobe Analytics, be sure to check out the Idea Exchange at
ideas.omniture.com. Due to time/resource constraints, the product
management team cannot monitor these forums, but we do monitor the Idea
Exchange. Here are a couple of ideas that match the feature you are
It looks like your username may not be an admin, so it is possible that
someone in your company took away your access to Analysis Workspace
within the past week or two. My suggestion is to follow up with an admin
user who can ensure that you are in a user group that has access to the
With the release happening today, you will be able to "curate" the
segments in a project so that users of the project can only use those
segments. I think this will reproduce the use case you are describing in
Ad Hoc Analysis. You can also "tag" a group of segments so that it is
easy to add them to a project in one action.
That workflow will happen inside of Analytics but will notify the user
throughout the marketing cloud. So, for example, I set up a project in
Analysis Workspace and share it with my colleague who manages testing
and optimization. She logs in to Adobe Target and sees a notification
that I have shared a project with her. She can click on that
notification to go over to Analytics to work with the project there. I
don't think we'll be making any further investments in pushing items to
cards and boar...
I believe this will be fixed in the release that is going out today (in
which Analysis Workspace moves out of public beta and into "general
release"). If you continue to see this behavior after tomorrow, please
contact ClientCare and we'll get it taken care of!
Hi Riikka, Your layout definitely should NOT be changing. I know it
might be hard to reproduce this issue, but if you're able to reproduce
it regularly, could you document the exact steps you are following to
build, save, and re-load the project and send them to me as a private
message in this forum (including your login company and report suite)?
Hi Warren! Totally agree with this request. We are already planning to
allow you to change column widths
but I will ask about changing the dimension widths as well.
Thanks for the suggestion, Warren. What we're actually planning to do
(coming soon in the beta) is allow you to grant access to Analysis
Workspace (including Freeform Analysis) much as you would grant access
to Ad Hoc Analysis or Report Builder. There will be a group (or a
setting for groups) that allows you to expand this access beyond
admins. We'll consider doing something similar for future "public beta"
features. Most of our beta testing happens in our beta environments
where this is less of ...
No, that definitely shouldn't be happening. I don't suppose you remember
the names of any projects that have disappeared, do you? That might help
our engineering team diagnose the problem. Would also be good to get
your login company name if possible.
Hi Victor, 1. Totally agree. We need to improve access to saved
projects. We're working on a design improvement that will make it easier
to get to them. 2. Are the collaborators admins? Currently, only admins
can see projects. We'll be allowing you to expose projects to others
later this spring/summer. Thanks, Ben
Hi Jabir, It sure is. For example, with this release we now offer a tool
to import enterprise data from a CRM or customer database, so that you
can build segments based on customer attributes. We'll definitely be
looking to expand that capability to other data sources and data types
in the future, and everything will be available in the Freeform Analysis
Darryn and Aimee,One possible explanation is your level of product
ownership. The new tool is available only to owners of the complete
Adobe Analytics solution (either Analytics Standard or Analytics
Premium); if you own Reports & Analytics/SiteCatalyst as a stand-alone
product, you will not have access to the tool. You can check with your
Adobe account team to find out whether this applies to you; if you do
own Adobe Analytics, your account manager should be able to flip a
switch on our backend...
