Questions about Workbench ES2

My setup is as follows. I have a single Livecycle 8.2 ES server running and multiple Livecycle 8.2 ES Workbench clients. Because I'm not a masochist, I'm trying to avoid contacting Adobe's customer support and am hoping to get answers to a couple simple questions:1. Is Workbench ES2 compatible with the ES server? 2. Is upgrading to Workbench ES2 from Workbench ES something I need to pay for? If not, where do I download the upgrade? Thanks,Mike Gates

In order to get this to work we would need to maintain active directory groups and manually keep them synced to the livecycle groups? That's not much of a workaround. That is a strange "limitation by design" and sounds very much like a bug. Is there any plan to fix this issue?

I am having this same error, and when I try to create the "missing" folder in the GDS, Livecycle just deletes the folder within a couple seconds.

I'm not sure how to post a sample here, buts its a very simple thing I'm trying to do:I have a table designed in Livecycle Form Designer.I want the rows of the table to be, say, red when a specific cell on that row has a certain value.Otherwise, I want the rows to be white (the default).

I have a table on one of my Livecycle forms which has rows that need to be conditionally formatted. A calculation involving the values of two of the cells should determine the background color of the cell. I have tried to implement this, but my lack of experience with the Livecycle javascript API is keeping me from being able to get anything out that doesn't just report "Syntax Error" (of course without saying what is invalid...I find Javascript development inside the workbench script window to ...

Hmmm....while my process is running, I am getting statuscode values of "2". Could there be different values coming out of the web service?

StatusCode values for web service call?

I am trying to check the status of a long-lived service using a web service call from a .NET application. I therefore don't have access to the java libraries where the StatusCode constants (enumerations?) are defined. Can someone either tell me a .NET library I can reference in order to use the constant values, or at least tell me what the integer values are, and I can make my own constants. In case it wasn't cIear, I am using webservice_invokeStatus( jobId ).Thanks,Mike Gates

I could never get invoke_result to work with a long-lived process. Is it designed to work this way? So you just make a call to:results = myServiceReference.InvokeResult(args)and just wait? This does not work when I try it using a .NET web service call.

Ok, which web service wsdl? For example, for the JobManager wsdl I am using:http:///soap/services/JobManager?wsdlThe methods available are:disposeJob ( jobId As JobId ) getJobInstances ( filter As PagingFilter ) As MyArrayOf_xsd_anyTypegetStatus ( jobId As JobId ) As JobStatusresumeJob ( jobId As JobId ) suspendJob ( jobId As JobId ) terminateJob ( jobId As JobId ) My problem is I don't see any invoke_Result.

Well, I'm trying to use the JobManager Service...this does not seem to have an invoke_status or an invoke_result. This has a getStatus, but no getResult. I am able to use getStatus to determine if the job is complete, but I can't get the results. When you say to call invoke_Result, are you talking about a web service call? Which web service are you referring to?Thanks,Mike

I am starting a long-lived process that has output variables using a .Net web service call. I would like to be able to get these output variables. I cannot find any functionality in the JobManager service to do this...is there another way to do this? I am not above querying the Livecycle database....Thanks,Mike

What is a JavaExecute service? I don't seem to have that in my list of available services in workbench. Is that the same as ExecuteScript? If so, can you provide the script you use for this?
