Re: insert radio button group into row cells MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Radio buttons need to be in a group together so only one can be selected. If they are in separate cells, it wont work.However....you can just write some simple script so it works without it actually being in a group. You could do the same with checkboxes, rather than use radiobuttons.Here is what i would do:Basically, when one is clicked, the other two go off.form1.#subform[0].Table1.Row1.a.rb.button::click - (JavaScript, client)Table1.Row1.b.rb.button.rawValue = "0";Table1.Row1.c.rb.button.rawV...

Re: Content won’t save in Currency Field with Acrobat Reader MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Karl,If you are not against making a complicated form a little more complicated, there is a way around it that you could try.Create a Global Variable, store the field value, save the form and then bring it back on load.Right Click your form in the hierarchy and select Insert Script Object.Give the script object a name - i called it vars for this example. Enter var currency;In the form pre-save event (javascript) enter: vars.currency = currencyField.rawValue; //where currency is the global var...

Re: Can i reference an external Javascript? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
It might be a bit low tech, but i use in-form storage for some forms i have done. I have hidden text fields and built a dialog for updating the textfields within. I never need to modify the actual form in livecycle, i just save new information into it as needed.

Re: LiveCycle 11 Locking Date Time Box from changing MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Chuck,If you tab through the fields and it changes the date/time. Set the object's access to 'protected'. Protected objects are excluded from tabbing. That might stop it changing since you can't get into it.

Re: Table columns hide with radio button but visible column resizes errantly MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Not sure how you even hid columns, so well done on that.What would happen if you set a minimum width of 6.1" using minW in the initialisation event of column C? Does it still resize?Or changed it after clicking using:Reference_Syntax.w = "6.1in";

Hi,Probably need to see your javascript and hierarchy to help more.But check these:check the javascript to make sure you aren't disabling objects or subform that contains the objects that wont workI am sure you checked, but are they enabledcheck initialisation code isnt disabling the objectsif you are using any shapes like a rectangle, move it to the back. Even a rectangle with no fill will cover other objects when the form is run.I have done one form that was so messed up and just would not wor...

Re: Selecting check box creates text entry field to enter info ? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Brian,If you are very new to it, I would suggest doing these tutorials at the link below. It helped me immensely when I started out. It might also help you to understand my solution without me having to go into extra details.Adobe LiveCycle ES4 * About the Quick Start Tutorials There are a number of things to consider. If you are allowing two selections, you will need to use checkboxes rather than radio button groups. You will need to add code to the radio button so only a maximum of 2 can be...

Re: Click button always referencing to row 1 in table MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Mumad,If i am understanding you correctly, you dont want a new row created unless if has been filled in.I created a table with header row and one repeated row (Row1). I also have a button to create a new row. To make this work, you use the instance count and a switch. The switch code does need to be written for each instance you have. This being the case, you either need to write lots of switch code, or restrict the repeated row amount.If the textfields are null, or either one is null, a new ...

I dont know if there is an easier way, but I would just store the user data in global variables and just write switch code to copy to the new subforms.

Re: Hiding the Arrow of a Drop Down List on exit MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Did you click it? It worked for me. Only when clicking the dropDownList did it show the arrow, you can select a different item and then it was made readOnly again. The arrow wont show when hovering over it.

Re: disable click MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,Instead of readOnly use protected. This will disable all functions of the button and also exclude it from being focussed on when using the TAB key.this.access = "protected";

Re: store dropdown value to var on form load MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
If you add a variable to your script object, you can recall and set it at any time by referencing it. You could set it when the dropdown is exited and recall it when the form is loaded in the docReady event.In this example the reference would be vars.myVariableExamplesvars.myVariable = TextField1.rawValue;TextField1.rawValue = vars.myVariable;Could this help you?

Re: How to aggregate the values and text in the table? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi JainSa,If your rows are fixed you can simply add them up, but if you are dynamically adding rows, you can do this.Assuming the first data entry row is repeating, in the total field at the bottom add this code. form1.#subform[0].Table1.Row2.NumericField1::calculate - (FormCalc, client)sum(Table1.Row1[*].NumericField1[*])Whenever you create a new row ( i have repeated row1), a new instance will be created before the total row and the new totals will be displayed when the field is edited.

Re: Form flow help. MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,Probably the best advice i can give you and its something i have been doing for many years, is to build your flowed forms in tables. Using a table or multiple tables with different rows and cells is the best way to build a 'positioned' flowing form. You can make each table section a subform too.By doing this, you can hide a table on a flowed form and everything should move up.

Re: How to aggregate the values and text in the table? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Are you wanting to concatenate the values into another object? It isnt quite clear, so here it is.Concatenating is easier in JS, calculating in FormCalc.The NumericField3 calculate event simply has:Whenever either field is changed, it recalculates.The concatenate button is this:When clicked a new rawValue is entered in the text field which is made up of the other fields concatenated into one value.

Re: Can I not an event script for a text field? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Make Example Question 2 a TextField. You will then be able to change it's rawValue to whatever you need based on the checkbox selection. Change the caption Position to None in the layout tab and add the text in the object/value default text field.I have also protected the TextField so the text can't be user changed.This code effectively makes checkboxes work like radio buttons, only one can be checked at a time.Is this what you are trying to do?

Re: How to set table Tab order column wise including Headers? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,With your supplied form you wont be able to add the header to the tab order unless there is a user entry field there. Changing the tab order of the rest wasn't an issue for me.The Header Row might be the problem. I deleted it and added another row where it was and then i could reorder without an issue. I changed it's type to Header Row and was still able to set the tabs ok.

Re: How to set table Tab order column wise including Headers? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,I had no such problems editing the tab order, make sure you switch it to custom and drag it to a new location.If you are still having trouble, you could bypass it with an exit event for the cell.form1.#subform[0].Table1.Row1.TextField1:exit - (JavaScript, client)xfa.host.setFocus("Row2.TextField1");then in Row2.TextField1, have some code that when exited it will focus on Row3.TextField1 etc.The catch is though, it will always fire on exiting the field whether you press tab or not. If you exit...

Re: Show/hide cover letter from button click MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
I had a look. I have had this problem as well and never found a solution. It seems like a limitation of XFA forms.I found this: There is a restriction in XFA that the 1st Master page definition must be used. Any subsequent ones can be unised ...but the 1st one must be used!Hide first Master Page A further thought: When i clicked the Add Cover Letter button, it threw an error, there is an incorrect reference. I dont think it will help with hiding the page.GeneralError: Operation failed.XFAObject....
