I suspect you are reordering the statuses at the system level (I cant see since your screenshot cuts off the selected group). Tested this in preview and received the same error.  I recommend you submit a ticket to the help desk. I'll submit one later today as well. In the meantime, you can still add the project to the portfolio by editing the project, and adding the portfolio there.  

Hmm this is an odd one. I dont think I've run into that before.  I believe it may be something in your configuration settings.  The only setting I could find after a quick search was the following in the Access Levels area. Id check to see if that's enabled:

You should use an Hour Report instead.  Group the Hour report in Matrix mode by:Row Grouping:  Owner > Name,  Project > NameColumn Grouping:  Hour > Entry Date (select the summarize by month option).

hmm their response doesn't make sense bc the legacy field is the one that has decimals while the new field does not.  We're losing precision. I think the support person got confused

To make things weirder the new Actual Hours field does not take mins into account.  It's essentially an inaccurate count of the Actual Hours.  Legacy Actual Hours still takes the minutes into acct.:
