for the first set of fields (10, min).....I would use following JS....under exit event.if (this.rawValue < 10) { xfa.host.message("A min 10 is required"); this.rawValue = "";}for the second set of fields (Multiples of 10)....I would use following JS....under exit event.this is a two part validation.....if (this.rawValue < 10) { xfa.host.message("A min 10 is required"); this.rawValue = ""; exit; //stop here do not need to do next validation.}//now check for Modulus....if it more than 1 the valida...

For each of the fields that you like to have default value displayed and get cleaned on entry you can have following JS script in "enter" event....if (this.rawValue == "") { this.rawValue = ""} and for "exit" event....if (this.isNull) { this.rawValue = ""} Hope tha helps with the first issue....And with the second question you had....yes it is some thing that can be done with few tricks and little script. Your button does not need to be part of that subform...and noting wrong even if it is.insta...

this is very simple to fix....in this scenario I would use following code in ReadOnly textField under "layoutReady" event to always adjust the sequence number them self rather than you assign the numbers with your code..... //TextField:layoutReady eventthis.rawValue = this.parent.index + 1 // you would have SOMexpression reading the index of the repeating element you may have to adjust the code like this.parent.parent.parent.index depending on your situation.... and then clean the following code...

In one of my forms I used similar concept, however I used Button and Image overlay on each other and have code under Button Click event....But the code attaches any document/file the user chose attach rather than just screenshot....this could be starting point for you to try some thing you want.... Following is the code I used....var aInstance = this.parent.index; //this is the table row instance in your casevar selectFileName = "ScreenShot" + aInstance; //this is to assign a relative name for e...

I tried your code with Acrobat 9 and it saves the color and the value...However if it does not work I would look in to alternative methods to force it to run the same script with minor changes at the time of docReady/formReady to make it look like it saved the color....switch(this.rawValue){case "Green":this.ui.choiceList.border.fill.color.value= "0,128,0";break;case "Yellow":this.ui.choiceList.border.fill.color.value= "255,255,0";break;case "Red":this.ui.choiceList.border.fill.color.value= "255...

To my knowledge no field type in LC is designed to handle this(page breaks) kind of situation....however there other techniques(combination of techniques) you can use to achieve your results....Look at "full" event and then overflow lead and overflow trailer....guessing you can use full event to write your script to find out remaining text and then populate a hidden subform(which should also continue to repeat on multiple pages) also will do the same full event again and again until all the text...

It is simple all you need to do is use Date2Num and Num2Date inbuilt functions.... Here is what I have tried....I used a table with 7rows and in the 2nd column I used Date/Time Field in each one of those. I named one after another as week1sunday, week1monday....then except the fist one (week1sunday) rest of the ones I made readOnly. Now in the change event of week1sunday I used the following code to produce the calculating effect....this is FormCalc code $.parent.parent.Row2.week1monday.rawValue...

Here are some postes that can help you....http://forums.adobe.com/message/2134982#2134982http://forums.adobe.com/message/2125137#2125137the first URL has one samle PDF attached which has "Lock All Fields" button at the bottom. I checked the script and it is prepared to handle each subform individually withe the line of code in 'click' event myScriptObject.LockAllFields(form1); the user is passing entire form in this case but if you pass just the subform name that you wish to lock that will work....

I guess timed message is on the wish list However in all my forms I use following scenario to validate all data entry at one time and then submit...I use regular button and add code in Click eventJS example.....var errorFlag = 0;var errorMsg = "";if (validation expression 1) { //true/pass //no need to change following values errorFlag = errorFlag; errorMsg = errorMsg;}else { //false/fail //set the flag and message accordingly errorFlag = errorFlag + 1; errorMsg = errorMsg + "validation message1"...

More over you did not list your email address to send one and this forum does not allow one to add......Email your copy to n_varma(AT)lycos.com....I will fix it for you and tell you where to look for the code.

Field Background change options are under "Border" pallet. You can make this visible just by using Shift+F8 and then look for "Background Fill".

What you noticed is how it behaves(normal behavior)....you need to learn work around technique to over come this. I would save the selected value(s) to a hidden field and/or save the value to XML element. And then you need a docReady (or some other event) script to make those values selected each time the form is open/reopen. The same applies to DropDowns too....I do the same for Date fields too some times.Good Luck,

I can point to two things based on your description and the JS code....As you are using initialize event for populating ContractDescription I do not see need for using for loop. Then your situation simplifies down to that particular DD than messing up with all other DDs....there by suing "this" reference would workout well rather than printing SOMExpression each time. Also noticed some times you used CleanItems() then in the very next statement you are setting .rawValue ="......". I guess you nee...

This solution is misleading....Of course this works only if you plan to load Trusted script on each machine you plan to use that form. In other words you can not rollout form to entire organization with out loading trusted function in each targeted machine. Also there are other limitations... like if for some reason user reinstalls Acrobat x or Reader x or upgrade to latest version they need to remember to redeploy the trusted function to the required location.

Here is what I do....I will use regular button instead of "Email submit".Then in Click event of the button use following JavaScript...var subsub = "Subject Text"var ebodyebody = "email text that goes on body"event.target.submitForm({cURL:"mailto:email1@domain.com,email2@domain.com?cc=email3@domain.com&subject="+sub+"&body="+ebody,cSubmitAs:"PDF",cCharset:"utf-8"});//you could replace PDF with XML will only send data instead of form.Good Luck,

Radio buttons are tricky...no matter how many you add they all going to be assigned to one Group and in UI(when form presented to the users) they are act mutually exclusive....so if you have new group to add on the same form you would first add all the new group options and then select those in the Hierarchy pallet then right click select "Wrap in New Radio button Group". And if you are just looking for a group with three or more options you would continue to add Radio Buttons for each option an...

I guess in your case you are just using "Preview" feature but not actually importing data. Again Preview does not help to import the data and XSD helps to understand the data but can not initiate the data pick up by itself. So I guess you need to some how initiate the data merger. My suggestion would be adding following code to some text field in "docReady" event which will allow you to select the data file and help the data filled in the form according to the XSD. //JavaScript code...if (this.i...

There is no out of box functionality for this. However you can mimic this using by few extra script lines. Read more bout "setFocus()" method. Using that you may design your form with color blond in buttons to point to the section you want.

There is no out of box solution for what you are looking for. However I tried different options and found one workable solution you may be interested in. The solution includes adding textfields with floatingfields for running text and then adding few lines of code.Post your email in here or send me an email at n_varma(AT)lycos.com I will try to send you a sample. It is easy and simple however you need to follow same steps for each of the input fields.

Adobe does not support this option. You have to live with it. Any way users get choice to change location and file name in the SaveAs window.

I guess you are looking for some kind of customized list box (safe to call it Selectbox). I would recommend considering the following. Since by nature Drowpdown can hold the list and one selected value I would separate "Select list" and "Selected list". The for selecting the list you can either use DD or ListBox and for listing already selected ones I you may use Listbox so multiple can be displayed at same time. having both separated now when user selects one or more options you would write cod...
