Hello @brekrut ,

For the below questions, can you provide me with the answers and Adobe documentation links? I am able to get the Adobe documentation link for Streaming Segments but not others.

1. Please provide the look-back window criteria when evaluating Edge Segments:

2. Please provide the look-back window when evaluating Streaming Segments: LINK.

3. Please provide the look-back window when evaluating Batch Segments

Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a good week.  Here are the answer to the questions from this weeks quiz.

2) There are three types of segments within Adobe RTCDP Edge, Streaming, and Batch.

3) There are the 4 functions available for aggregate SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, and MAX.  Count is not considered an aggregate function:

4) With the use case provided we should like to use either edge or streaming segments.  We are looking to engagement the customer as they engage with the brands.  It will depend on the source of data which also impact how the segments are evaluated.  If there is batch data ingested then segments will be evaluated based upon the slowest source.

5) The global segment can only be run once a day

6) The global segment job can be altered using the Adobe Experience platform APIs to change the time on which the global segmentation job runs.

7) When building segments if there are attributes which are not being displayed this is a result of where data is not upon profile for these attributes.  If you do wish to see all of the attributes select the gear icon in the segmentation build and select show all fields.

Edge segment are defined here:

lease note the following guidelines apply when doing streaming segmentation:

Query type Guideline
Single event query There are no limits to the lookback window.
Query with event history
  • The lookback window is limited to one day.
  • A strict time-ordering condition must exist between the events.
  • Queries with at least one negated event are supported. However, the entire event cannot be a negation.

10) With batch segmentation there are no restrictions.  Batch segment are used  for longer lookback periods longer than 7 days
